18.01.2022 Baptist Care Friendship Program!! Such a great program to get involved in - register your interest to volunteer today! Are you looking for a rewarding and enriching volunteer role this year? Our Friendship Program provides a great opportunity to meet and establish a friendship with someone from a refugee or asylum seeker background. FREE interactive training for volunteers will be held from 6pm - 8.30pm on Monday 10 and 24 February at Broadview. For more info, email [email protected]
15.01.2022 Welcome Salisbury, well the time has come for us to say our farewells to this beautiful building, remember what we did, the friends we made and the magic that happened. Personally I am feeling sad and happy about closing our doors for the final time. Next Friday, the 24th January, at 10am - 12noon @ Welcome Salisbury, I invite you all to come and have a cup of tea, celebrate the beauty we created and the friends we made. To share story, or just say hi. I will be packing up t...he cupboards, cleaning and donating what we can to the beautiful Ingle Farm Family Zone - who continue the great work. They serve the refugee and migrant community, as well as the most disadvantaged too. They would love to see any of you. If you want to be part of the saying goodbye, feel free to join in, but you dont need too. Thank you all for the home of welcome we made in Salisbury, we made a big difference to lives of so many and we were definitely the catalyst for change the community needed! To the team, my memories of this time will always bring a smile to my face and warmth to my heart.
