09.01.2022 NOTICE: Unfortunately playgroup sessions at weld square will be suspended till further notice as part of the social distancing protecols recommended by Health D...epartment and Education Department guidelines. Thanks for your understanding Renae Dear Playgroup Families The World Health Organisation (WHO) has classified Coronavirus (COVID-19) as a pandemic. At this stage, the Government has not provided a direction to stop face-to-face playgroups. However, there have been updated recommendations to practice social distancing and avoid non-essential gatherings since our last communication. Community playgroups are run by volunteer committees and each playgroup makes their own decisions and policies, taking into account their unique circumstances and location. As your peak body, Playgroup WA is recommending that all playgroups strongly consider putting face to face playgroup sessions on hold at this time due to the difficulty in practicing social distancing in a playgroup. We strongly recommend that playgroup families stay connected during this time, and we will be providing suggestions for how you do this, without meeting face to face. We will also be providing play activities you can do at home, and other useful resources for families. Our previous statement, which you can read here, contains links on hygiene and government updates. These resources will be regularly updated on ourwebsite. In the meantime, please notify your playgroup if you have had contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19. We are providing more detailed information to Playgroup committee members. This is an unprecedented situation for all of us, so please continue to be kind to each other. Look after yourself and your loved ones and dont forget to check in on your playgroup community. Join us on social media and our website to stay up to date as things evolve. Together, we can play, share, connect and grow! We wish you well.
