25.01.2022 Hello! We are back as of today We hope that eveyone has had a fantastic holiday season. Just a quick thank you to everyone for their continued support throuout 2019. We are ready to hit this year hard with our new equipment and "2020 go get em" attitude. We looking foward to seeing what this year will bring. Thank you The Weld Wright team! 25.01.2022 500 likes!!! Thank you to everyone for their support. We haven't posted for a while since being in the new shed because we moved in and hit the ground running. Here are some projects that we have been working on.

25.01.2022 So it's been a while since we posted but we are still here and working hard to get jobs out the door. We have just recently finished this work and play flat plate aluminium canopy. Thanks to Matt and Stacey from Seaford Automotive & Diesel for buying local and keeping small business going. I can't wait to see it all wrapped with signage on it.

24.01.2022 This is a custom made 2.5mm flat plate aluminium toolbox heading to the Yorke Peninsula. Built featuring T-handle locks, rubber seals, quality Australian made gas struts and machined aluminium cargo track.

23.01.2022 WELD WRIGHT IS MOVING! We have well and truly outgrown our current premises and need more space. We aren't going very far but it's a big job so we'll be closed from the 25th of June and will re-open in the new location on the 1st of July. Stay tuned for more details closer to the date.

23.01.2022 A short video of the canopy all opened up also showing the 40mm rhs internal frame welded to the body.

22.01.2022 This 3m swinging gate came up very nicely. Using australian bluescope galvanised 50x50 this stuff welds like a dream compared to cheap import steel, less spatter, fumes, pitting and is very easy to clean up.

21.01.2022 We have been running at full capacity for the last couple of weeks. It's been great to see the support for a local small business. Thanks to everyone for the continued work here are some pics of what we have been working on lately.

21.01.2022 Sean has worked his sheetmetal magic skills again, finishing off these tough looking undermount toolboxes today. Made from 3mm aluminium, aluminum hinges, pinchweld rubber seal and 2 chrome compression locks. Can't wait to see them painted!!!

20.01.2022 Ok! Custom tray Friday! We are very excited to show you the Weld Wright tray. These will suit the late model BT50 and Rangers. Frame made from galvanised RHS steel and fitted with aluminium undermount toolboxes, mudguards and 1350 long pull out drawer. All colour matched to the car. It's been a crazy couple of weeks designing in the shed but it has definitely paid off. If you have any questions please feel free to call or message anytime.

19.01.2022 So we are all moved in to the new address unit 2/42 Farrow circuit. Now we just have to orgainse the chaos! Thank you for everyone's patience during this time. We were supposed to be up and running as of today, but we will be pushing it out until the end of the week. Its a mammoth job but well worth it. Thanks again.

17.01.2022 Going back a couple of weeks we knocked up this 1200mm wide aluminium canopy. Please get in touch if you would like a quote.

17.01.2022 The blue beast came back! This time for a supension upgrade. We supplied a Dobinson 2" lift kit with 500kg constant load springs and worked with Seaford Automotive and Diesel to do the install. Gaining 75mm in the front and 100mm in the back from the original suspension this is now set up to be a very capable touring car. If you are wanting a great quality suspension upgrade we can supply and install any kit from Dobinson so please call or message for a free quote anytime.

16.01.2022 It's been a busy week. Finishing it off with this cruiser tray resto. Cut out the old rust and replaced it with a new sheet then cleaned and painted with a 2pac primer ready for the raptor liner top coat. I will post a picture of the finished product tomorrow.

16.01.2022 Last week we fabricated and installed this custom galvanised miniorb door. Its complimented nicely against the red bricks. Thanks to Mid Coast Pergolas and Decks for helping out and sheeting off the top half of the shed. A fantastic job

16.01.2022 This is one of many custom cable winch boxes we have made for a local company. The original boxes are made from wood or plastic that has to be removed before being able to use the winch. Our boxes make the winches easy to transport and the winch can be used inside the box for extra safety.

15.01.2022 We have a BT50 in at the moment, undergoing surgery to remove the tub and replace it with a custom tray made from australian bluescope steel. It's coming along nicely.

14.01.2022 G'day We are running full steam at the moment! Things are bonkers it's great! Thank you to everyone for their support. We are booked up until the end of the year now with Christmas just around the corner. Quoting has slowed down a little at the moment because of the work load but I am trying hard to get back to everyone as soon as I can. Thanks again for everybodies support. 13.01.2022 Hello Another long stretch between posts but we would like to give everybody an update on what has been happening here. We have been completely flat out and are currently nearly booked out until Christmas. The shed is close to being sorted now and we have a great new looking office. There are some exciting things happening shortly. We will be delivering a new tray for the latest model Triton, we're doing a blue BT50 canopy again (blue beast 2.0), we'll be working on our first cab chassis Sandy 79 and much more. We are also working on becoming a local supplier for UES. Thank you for your support and we will keep you up to date with more later.

12.01.2022 Here is a good little canopy mounted on a trailer. It has been made to lift off so that the customer has full use of the trailer when they need it.

12.01.2022 This one was a bit of fun. A customer brought in a mixer that had decided to jump off the back of the ute. Luckily the mixer bowl and motor were in tact and we were able to knock up a new cover to make it look like nothing ever happened.

11.01.2022 We are currently working on some architectural window surrounds for something different. The biggest one being 6.5mtr long by 1.5 high! Cant wait to see them installed.

09.01.2022 Here is sealed undermount drawer made to go with the toolboxes we made the other day. Makes for great storage! 700x200mm 1400mm deep. Perfect for the recovery gear.

09.01.2022 A few months back we fabricated these heavy duty aluminium security screens for the Port Noarlunga South SLSC to replace the old rusting galvanised ones. A roller door was fitted after in between them to make it secure.

09.01.2022 Here we did a little truck resto. Removing the old head and tailboard and replacing it with a more modern square look ready to be painted and re-used.

09.01.2022 Its been a busy week this week. We finished off these 2 custom stainless mirror finish nano handrails at henley beach for Edgewater Glass Solutions-Adelaide.

09.01.2022 A little sneak peak of what is coming...

09.01.2022 It's been hectic since the move and we are still sorting but we have managed to get a couple of jobs out the door. Like these custom drawer sytems for our local CFS. 4x Prados featuring a 2x aluminium drawer system and Kings fridge slide. All made from 3mm flat aluminium using 45kg rated slides.

08.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago a customer brought in an old aluminium bull bar for us to modify. We removed a bar from the centre and patched up the holes, drilled in new holes to mount the spotlights to and fabricated some small mounts on top of the bar for the light bar. The customer then had the bullbar powdercoated and it has come out looking new again.

08.01.2022 Hello. Sorry for the lack of posting, we are running full steam at the moment. Here are some pics of an enclosed trailer we have been working on for the last couple of weeks. It's out to get painted today.

07.01.2022 A customer from a few weeks ago came back today to show us how well the canvas fitted to the roll bars that we put on the back for him. Looking good we think.

07.01.2022 Front ladder rack looking good . We welded on some aluminum holders to the bullbar using our pulse mig and then fabricated the front rack from 50x50 galv SHS and powdercoated it satin black.

06.01.2022 Unfortunately this is a sad case of a cheap online canopy. The customer had previously had this repaired and brought it to us for further repairs. They had gone to great lengths to stop it from cracking further by having flat bar brackets laser cut and bolted to the inside. The canopy was being sold as 3mm checkerplate but it turned out to be 1.6mm. This is also a good example of why we put the rubber seal on the door (as opposed to the box itself) to avoid dragging things over it and damaging it. We are more than happy to help with repairs but please be careful with cheap online canopies.

06.01.2022 We have been lucky to be quite busy lately and would like to thank everyone for their efforts and understanding with the COVID-19 situation. Here is the final results for the Ford Ranger tray we've been working on. Featuring removable sides, undermount toolboxes, spare wheel holder, LED lights with sequential indicators and painted using U-POL RAPTOR liner.

06.01.2022 Change of scenery for the day.

06.01.2022 So before this crazy weather kicked in we got to finish off this awesome looking balustrade handrail. All powdercoated to match in with the woodland grey fence, making it less prominent in the garden and fitted with prorig balustrade wire kits. This is one of our last site jobs for a while now, as we will be focusing on moving forward with our custom ute trays and canopies. We also look foward to bringing in our own off the shelf canopy and tray package shortly. We will keep you updated.

05.01.2022 The trailer went out the door last week looking quite nice. In the end it is an 8x5 enclosed trailer, 2 tonne rated axle with a seperate storage compartment on the front, hydraulic brakes, 16" landcruiser rims. Pretty happy with the end result.

05.01.2022 Thanks to Mid Coast Pergolas and Decks for coming back to us for these custom made toolboxes and rear ladder rack. The tolboxes are made from a 3mm treadplate body , pinchweld seal, centaflex hinge, gas struts, 3mm aluminium shelf and rear fixed T handle locks for added security. The ladder rack is a 50x50x3mm radious tube cut to follow the original headboard and sleaves in and out with ease with some fabricated inserts to suit.

05.01.2022 This trailer had a heavy drop down door and a damaged mud guard, so we replaced the mudguard with a whole new one and the back door with a lift off swing gate.

05.01.2022 Another set of Hilux white undermount toolboxes out the door, this time fitted with a whale tail lock and carpeted on the inside.

04.01.2022 Very happy with how this tray come out. It's similar to our tray for the BT-50 but instead we have gone with side boards that look amazing!! With a raptor paint job. Steel frame and aluminium trims keeping the weight down. The customer will be back in a few weeks for tie downs, toolboxes and a spare wheel holder on the headboard. Stay tuned

04.01.2022 The finished product!! With the repairs done to the tray and painted we also made some removable roll bars and rolled aluminium flashings so that the customer can get it canvassed and head off around AustraliaBest of luck to them on their adventures!!

04.01.2022 Big things happening here today! We just took delivery of a brand new 2500mm NC pan brake. This allows us to fold sheets up to 2500mm long of 4mm thick mild steel, 6mm aluminium and 3mm stainless. Being brand new gives us the quality that we like to produce with no dents or ripples in the things we fold. Having this will also help us compete with imported canopies and trays without compromising on quality.

04.01.2022 What an awesome looking gate! Made from aluminium this gate features a 45x65 frame 65x16mm slats and track to hide all fixings powdercoated gloss black. Installed by the guys from edgewater glass . We can custom make these to any size and will outlast any kit gate you can buy

03.01.2022 Hello everyone. Following our previous post we did mention that we are still open and working on jobs as normal. This is true but like every business still fortunate enough to be operating we are taking strict actions and precautions in response to COVID-19. To do our part we are asking that our customers please contact us via email, phone/video calls, texts and Facebook messages rather than dropping by the shed. Pictures speak 1000 words so between that and a phone call we ...should be able to work through any job together with minimal contact. If the job is needed to be dropped off such as a repair we will ask that it be cleaned as best it can and we will sanitise it before and after the job as well. We are also limiting access to the shed. It is a small area and there is a lot to touch so bunting has been put across the door to deter access. We will also be reducing site work to a minimum if at all. We will assess it on an as needed basis. We want to thank everyone for understanding and we hope to still get your continued support where possible to help us through these tough times. Thank you The Weld Wright team

02.01.2022 We have been working at Mt Barker shopping centre lately, installing these awesome looking aluminium slats. Still a little to go but very happy with the results. Feel free to call for a free measure and quote anytime

02.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago I headed over to Maitland SA to help out a fellow engineering workshop. It was definitely good to get away and work on some larger equipment.

02.01.2022 We do on site welding from time to time whether it's ARC, TIG or MIG. It's nice to be outdoors when the weather is this good

02.01.2022 We are now the proud owners of a 2500mm guillotine! Its an oldie but a goodie. We can now quickly and cleanly cut up to 6mm aluminium, 3mm mild steel and 2mm stainless steel.

02.01.2022 Fabricated this trailer rack yesterday, 3m long to suit the customer's work and play needs. Using the cage frame we welded some tube inside so that the rack can be removed when needed.

01.01.2022 Earlier in the week we finished modifying some trap doors in a deck. The original frames underneath were quite heavy so we replaced it with an aluminium frame and made a custom pull handle in the wood to make them easier to lift.

01.01.2022 Hello everyone. Apologies for the lack of communication over the last month. It has been a crazy time for the Weld Wright family. The shed has welcomed a great friend and a fabrication genius - Sean. If you come in please feel free to say hello to him. Sean has a passion for 4WD modifications (and a wealth of knowledge in this area) so keep those coming. The broken wrist is on the mend and the cast is off but still have limited movement. The workload is getting bigger each w...eek so thank you very much for the support! Also it is with great excitement that I can announce my wife and I have had our first born son Harrison Wright within the last week. Give him a few months and we will have him on the welder!
