19.01.2022 The 40th. If there is one lesson we take from this pandemic, it’s to never take family and friends for granted. This cake is a celebration of when many friends, far from our families, in a new land, become family and one the special lady who bought us all together. We get to make cakes for her amazing babies so it was an absolute honour to make her 40th celebration a sweet one. We used our classic Sri Lankan buttercake for the bottom tier and deepest darkest chocolate cake for the top tier, covered in chocolate ganache and American buttercream and topped with a sugar sail.
