24.01.2022 Today is National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day This years theme is 'We are the Elders of tomorrow, hear our voice'. Ch...ildren’s Day has been running annually on August 4th since 1988. Today and everyday we celebrate the strength and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, to give them confidence and make them feel special, seen and included. The date August 4th was historically used to communally celebrate the birthdays of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who did not know their birthdays as they were taken from their families the Stolen Generations. It really was a term to remember and what a fun way to start the holidays!! 06.01.2022 Y E A R S I X G R A D U A T I O N A S S E M B L Y. This afternoon we celebrated Year 6 and the completion of their primary school education at Wellington Christian School. ... Year 5 hosted a beautiful ceremony with speeches from each Year 6 student and a few staff members. Year 5 prayed for each of the graduating students and we enjoyed a beautiful presentation of memories in a slide show by Mrs Ansted. There really was not a dry eye in the house! We are so proud of the class of 2020! They are a very special group of young people and we will miss them very much! CONGRATULATIONS Year 6!! We love you!! May God bless you as you start your Secondary school journey.
05.01.2022 R E F U R B U P D A T E ! Our new classrooms are coming along beautifully So much space and natural light! Lots of connection to the outdoors to improve wellbeing and to enjoy the beautiful green playground while working inside. The team from Cavanagh Building Services are doing an amazing job. Things will really begin to look new over the next two weeks- stay tuned!!

02.01.2022 This weekend Wellington Arts is hosting the annual Art and Sculpture festival. This weekend you can head down to the Civic Centre to vote for your favourite artworks. You can also vote for our sculpture in the Primary art section- number 6 - on the Wellington Arts 2820 facebook page. WCS has entered RENEWAL - our sculpture that represents the beautiful way that new life comes after hard times like bushfires, drought, even the pandemic.
