The new Cervical Screening Test is more accurate at detecting HPV. Once you have had your first Cervical Screening Test, you will only need to have one every five years, instead of every two with the Pap test, if your results are normal. ... What are the symptoms? * coughing up blood * a new or changed cough that doesn’t go away * chest pain and/or shoulder pain or discomfort the pain may be worse with coughing or deep breathing * trouble breathing or shortness of breath * hoarse voice * weight loss * loss of appetite * chest infection that doesn’t go away * tiredness or weakness Many conditions can cause these symptoms, not just lung cancer. You may be asked to raise your arms over your head, let them hang by your sides, or press your hands against your hips. These postures allow your healthcare provider to look for differences in size or shape between your breasts. The skin covering your breasts is checked for any rash, dimpling, or other abnormal signs. Your nipples may be checked to see if fluid is expressed when lightly squeezed. Clinical Breast exams are an important part of early detection.
