24.01.2022 Have you ever looked at the Gonge Clown hat we have at the toy library and though "what do we do with that?" I must say I thought it when i saw it. So I looked it up. Here's what Gonge have to say about it: The Clown's Hat encourages small children to perform - because it is not easy to balance with something on your head! Concentration and balance are required to wear the Clown's Hat which develops body consciousness and attention to posture. Playing with the Clown's Hat can be both individually challenging and form part of competitive scenarios. The Clown's Hat is shaped to make it easy for small children to use and the parts are so soft that dropping the rings does not hurt. https://youtu.be/ndWZNfuN90g
22.01.2022 We have our AGM next week. Sunday 15th Nov at 2pm at La Porchetta Restaurant. All Committee positions will be open for election. All members are welcome to come along. Our wonderful Toy Library cannot operate without a volunteer committee, and as we have some office bearers leaving this year, we need new people to replace them. Please have a think about joining the committee. We meet up approximately every 6 weeks for roughly an hour. No experience is necessary. All our committee members are paying members just like you! If you are interested, let us know!!

21.01.2022 We have several of the Moluk toy range at the toy library, including Oogi, Plui, Boi, Mox, Bilibo and Hix. Let's have a look at Hix. Hix Convertible Construction Cones..its quite a mouthful for 4 silicone cones. Here's what Moluk, the makers of Hix cones have to say about them. Hix is a versatile new construction toy consisting of four convertible cones made of elastic silicone rubber. Each cone transforms into four basic shapes which can be stacked and nested in a myriad of different configurations. Hix is a delight to fidget with and makes geometry accessible and fun for all ages. It playfully trains visual-spacial ability, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills. Finally, you have smart building blocks that don’t hurt when you accidentally step on them nor make any noise when tumbling down. https://youtu.be/z27c6UvyjfI

We are self limited to 10 people only at a time. so if there is already 10 people inside, please wait under the veranda until someone else leaves. We will have sanitizer at the door and desk and we ask everyone to please clean their toys with soap or wipes before returning them. We do have wipes at the toy library, so if you forget, you can still do it before they are logged as returned. We wil...l also have markers on the floor to help with social distancing. We ask if possible to come along without children, we know this isnt always possible for everyone and children are always welcome, however with the limited numbers, if you are able to, then it would be appreciated.
