25.01.2022 Notice to all CD Music users at the Wellington Eisteddfod: Please make sure that if you intend on using a self-recorded CD for Dance or V& I, that you record your music using the 'MP3' format. The new sound system at the Wellington Civic Centre will only recognise the MP3 formatted CD's.
24.01.2022 In view of the 2nd wave of Covid-19 in Victoria and the many cases in and around NSW, it appears that our decision to cancel this year's 2020 Wellington Eisteddfod was justified in the circumstances. Whilst this saddens many of us, we must remember the consequences of getting this despicable virus, far outweighs any other consideration. Keep on washing hands, maintaining good hygiene and most of all keep the required 1.5 metre distancing measures and wear a mask if possible.
22.01.2022 The Syllabus will be available very soon it is just being edited and approved and will then be uploaded to Stardom - please stay posted Thank you
21.01.2022 Message from Hannah Re photos - Hi pip, I've just gone through and had to re-watermark everything. The gallery will be on tonight. sorry for the delay.
21.01.2022 Message from Hannah in regards to 2019 photos Morning Pip, the gallery should be working now. Would it be possible to let people know that any photos that they purchase will be sent to them with the correct cropping and colour/lighting adjustments applied. The gallery photos are seen as original. Thanks. Have a good day. xx
21.01.2022 Videos taken by Hannah for the final days of our Eistddfod which I believe was only Vocal and Instrumental The videos are being sent out tomorrow. Apologies for them being so delayed. They were supposed to be sent last week at the latest but a lot of orders were too big in file size for the USBs.
20.01.2022 If you won't be attending championships tomorrow and have not already notified can you please send a message. This may allow for some programming changes to allow people to return home earlier in this very cold weather.
19.01.2022 For all those concerned about photo's, we are following this closely. Our latest advice is that there is a problem with her website. Will let people know as soon as we receive an update. Sincere apologies to all those waiting. Unfortunately it is reflecting badly on us in what was already a trying year for our committee of volunteers. Our AGM is in a couple of weeks. We have already had one resignation so for all those who are saying they will not be coming back to our eisteddfod because of the photos issues there may not even be an eisteddfod !!!!!
19.01.2022 Ok an update on the Photos from Hannah I have been in contact with Hannah and please please take into account this is a 19 year old girl All is fine the site Hannah uses for her photography is now up again It is an American site and the photos need to be uploaded again - and they cannot all be loaded again at once as there are so many So they are loading them each day and they will be available hopefully by the end of the week ... Please remember Hannah danced at our WELLINGTON Eistddfod and number of country NSW Eisteddfods for a number of years and her sister still dances This has caused her a huge amount of stress and anxiety but she is coping and getting there I will keep you posted with the photos and videos Again if you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to call/text/email me and I shall endeavour to address the problem as soon as I can Pip Smith 0447 453 665 [email protected] Thank you all for your patience Have a great evening x See more

18.01.2022 Sorry for all those waiting for the results of the last section and the awards. We had to pull up the tarkett and prepare the hall for the Vocal and instrumental section. I have just walked in the house and left the results in the car which is already covered in ice! Next thing to do; turn off the 6am alarm. Will post those winners in the morning. Hope you all had an enjoyable eisteddfod.

17.01.2022 Hello All - Happy New year We hope you all had a Merry and Holy Christmas and a happy new year and to all that have been affected by the bushfires and ongoing drought our thoughts are with you Update in regards to the photos I can assure you that your photos are safe - Hannah is a very good person and trustworthy - she has my daughters photos Everything is uploaded and the password is currently being reset. There is a glitch that doesnt allow Hannah to reset the password... and Hannah has been trying for a while to do this. Its happened on two other jobs galleries too. Not too sure why everyone sees the gallery in a greyed out colour, eveything has been checked and double checked and everything is online and published. I will definitely let you all know when the password is back to the original password. It is a American company and Hannah has been only been able to contact them via email And yes she plans to change platforms as soon as she gets the Wellington Eistddfod photos live Again out apologies for any inconvenience If you have any questions please contact me Pip Smith 0447 453 665 [email protected] We have our first committee meeting tonight and will confirm our dates and we will be updating our syllabus for 2020 with the intention of having it public ASAP We are just trying to confirm other Eisteddfods around us so we do not clash Many thanks again for your understanding Love Pip

16.01.2022 Halfway through the final class of 12 days of dance. 33 sessions each requiring volunteers to man all the positions. I will take this opportunity to thank the hard working and supportive committee of the Wellington Eisteddfod. Most of you probably saw me hobbling around. I need double knee replacements. The committee were kind enough to suggest that I HAD to be Dance Register even if they had to push me around in a wheelchair. And more recently have been there for me through ...some emotionally tough personal issues. I would like to thank all of our volunteers for the Dance Section, especially my sister Rachel who has scribed every night this week and all weekend. Thank you to everyone that has made me smile as I haven't done a lot of that lately. Lastly thanks to our adjudicator for being so easy to work with and being so knowledgeable. Travel safely everyone. Naomi Jeffery Dance Registrar See more
15.01.2022 Just an update on the COVID-19 situation....Although in NSW restrictions were being slowly eased, it did not allow us to hold an event at the Wellington Civic Hall at all in 2020, due to social distancing and the numbers of people allowed in enclosed halls. As the new second-wave in Victoria is likely to have further restrictions in place in due course, the current non-event is still in place until 2021...Please keep up your social distancing, wash your hands and keep smiling, we will get through this pandemic together...
15.01.2022 Congratulations to our great Committee members and to all of those who volunteered their time to assist us with this year's Eisteddfod and also to Yvonne and her band of canteen helpers, cooks, and assistants who kept everyone fed. Also, a very special "Thank You", to all of the entrants in this year's Wellington Eisteddfod for making it such a great event in our community and finally to all of the Dance teachers, Mum's & Dad's, Grandparents and spectators, it was truly a thrill to see so many people enjoying the Eisteddfod. We'll be back next year, bigger & better in 2020.
15.01.2022 Well the New Year is on it's way for 2021 , goodbye to 2020. At present restrictions limit indoor activities, so keep tuned for any developments at the end of February. Remember to keep safe...

We have 3 new members, 2 on the committee in the position of V&I Registrars. 09.01.2022 We hope you are all coping with this isolation regime at present. Just remember to do some exercise whilst at home to keep fit, especially for next year's Wellington Eisteddfod in 2021. An old saying is,"Rome wasn't built in a day", it will take some many months to get over this Covid-19 virus, just be patient and you will come out of it okay.. don't forget to social distance and wash your hands..and smile..

08.01.2022 We have an extremely small entry in the dance section for Schools of Education. (due to a teacher from one of our main supporting schools retiring). If there are any schools that would like to put in a late entry for a group or duo/trio please message this page today. At this stage I don't mind if it is not a teacher or student from your school who has taught the dance.

03.01.2022 2020 Wellington Eisteddfod CANCELLED. It is with great regret that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and advice from both the Dubbo Regional Council and the NSW Health Departments, that we are forced to cancel this year's Wellington Eisteddfod in 2020. Taking into account the health risks to entrants, teachers, spectators and to our own volunteer's,it is unacceptable to subject these people to be exposed to potential contact. As well as the health risk, the downturn in the economy effects upon all of us, making it a financial burden on those that could least afford to attend. We look forward to making it a bigger and brighter event in 2021. Please keep safe to all our Eisteddfod communities in New South Wales and elsewhere. Regards, Bob Collier President, Wellington Eisteddfod Society Inc.
01.01.2022 Finally a running sheet. Lack of sleep does not go well with needing to concentrate! If a section is in an incorrect section please let me know!
