04.01.2022 To our beloved patients, Wellington Smiles Dental will be returning back to semi-normality after the 26th of April! Following the 21st of April National Cabinet Meeting, the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPCC) made the recommendation that the current dental level 3 restrictions be moved down to level 2 restrictions from the 26th of April onwards. The easing of such restrictions means we are able to conduct a larger range of dental procedures including:... - Check up with X-rays - Fillings - Tooth extractions - Crowns, bridges and veneers - Root canal treatments - Dentures Our extra precautionary measures will continue to be one of our highest priorities, this includes the following: - All dental visits by appointment only (please call to make an appointment before coming to the practice) - Screening measures prior to each appointment (patients will be asked about their health, travel history and temperature checks will take place) - Increased use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) - Each appointment is extended to minimise contacts between patients in the waiting room. - Alcohol sanitiser when arriving at and leaving the clinic. Australias current COVID-19 numbers have shown some encouraging signs in the last few days. Despite these encouraging results we encourage patients to still abide by the current guidelines to minimise any change in these results, including social distancing, minimising outside contact, frequent hand washing and only leaving the house for essential services. As always, the health and safety of our staff, patients and wider community is our main priority!
