25.01.2022 #automaticwriting download... There is no "there". There is no "someday". There is just the eternal now. You will never get "there" for there is an elusive dream. We can only live purely in presence. In the now that is and will always be. There is nothing for you to do here or accomplish. If you're "here" then you've already arrived. Enjoy. Isn't it nice to have arrived? To not hurry to "there". Here is pretty nice if you breathe and smile. Choose peace and you will not need... to seek outside your heart or the eternal now. There will be no need to look ahead. There will be only divine light and love in the heart. Can you feel it yet? Rippling towards you now. That warm current of joy and delight when you sit still and listen for the Om. For the silence. For the quiet bow to a love you know only because it's where you're from and not where you're going. You are that. Be that. And never forget that you will always be that and that will always be your true nature even when you forget and stumble for a moment. Just let it be a moment, and then come back to who you are. 24.01.2022 A great video to watch in the lead up to Full Moon, speaking to the energetic shifts at play and how to harness the energy. Back in the day I didn't pay much attention to the lunar cycles, though I did appreciate the magnificence of a full moon. Now I just try to notice what is happening to my mind, body, sleep, dreams, and emotions over this time. One of her points to ritualise or create a ceremony around full moon is something I definitely do now, including the dancing in the dark Above all, remember to surrender and let go of anything that your body, your soul, your heart...does not want to take with you into the next phase (assist it, don't resist it). 24.01.2022 As someone who’s experienced sleep issues, I spent a chunk of time learning about how to sleep better. One of the most fascinating and juicy aspects of sleep we really don’t pay enough credit is REM Sleep & the Dream state. The power of the mind to conjure up these wild complex scenarios, and sometimes completely abstract, obscure and random narratives, while we lay paralysed for hours, truly is a human phenomenon. ... And when I say paralysed, I’m not mincing words your body literally switches off your muscle activity seconds before you enter the dreaming phase, which lasts for the duration of REM. The key thing to note about REM and deep NREM sleep is that the ratio of these changes dramatically throughout the night within each 90 minute cycle. Your earlier sleep cycles will consist of much more NREM sleep and less REM, and the reverse is true for your sleep cycles closer to the morning (when you will dream more and longer). Why is this important to note? Well, most of us will see an hour or two of lost sleep in a uniform way. You sleep 6hrs hours instead of 8hrs, well you’d probably measure that as a 25% loss of rest. But, considering most of you REM sleep is tipped towards the end of your total sleep journey you’re actually potentially losing 60-90% of that sleep stage if you cut your sleep short by getting up early. Do this on a routine basis and you can easily see how you will never realise your true creative potential, which is a huge benefit specific to REM. And by aging I don’t just mean physically in terms of your body breaking down, but like, how perdy or handsome you are (which you totally are btw). In other words: You’re gonna look older, faster. Now, let’s not pretend this is not a major motivator behind our health, wellness and self care efforts. We wanna look fiiiiine in our birthday suit, we wanna turn our partner on, we wanna do a double take when we loo...k in the mirror cause, dayum are we glowing today. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to preserve the package you’ve come in and show it off to the world in its top form. And, miraculous sleep is one of the most critical factors of anti-aging, skin health, and lookin’ fresh. Beauty Sleep really is a thing cause sleep is when your body goes into repair and rebuild mode like fixing your skin, hair and nails and rejuvenating the immune, muscular and skeletal systems. A body with less sleep releases more cortisol a stress hormone that in excess amounts will not only cause damaging effects on your state of being (hello anxiety), but will also break down your skin collagen, which is the protein that preserves your skin’s elasticity, smoothness and all-round lushessness. Sure you may be able to get away with it while you’re young, but if you want to age with grace and hold onto your youthful good looks over your 30s, 40s and beyond it’s time to put the work in now, cause you are what you do most of the time. 14.01.2022 If you had told the 22 year old version of me (7 years ago) that at 29 I'd often look forward to my Monday group meditation session more than say a boozy Sunday session I'd have laughed and denied absolutely perplexed. Because the me today is not the me 7 years ago. They say over a 7 year cycle you literally do in fact become a new person - apparently it's the time it takes for each cell in your body to completely renew. We're basically all just molecules recycling into oth...er molecules . So what changed me in the last 7 years? Life changed me, or more aptly awareness changed me. Awareness changed everything... It's hard now to recall a time when all my thoughts didn't entirely revolve around myself and my little Niki universe of university assignments, and why was my skin still breaking out, what was mum making for dinner, and what would I wear to pre drinks this Saturday, and does she hate me, does he like me. This feels like a lifetime ago and I can barely relate to this state of being that was once the forefront of my inner world. Today many of my thoughts still centre on me... I'll be honest, I'm as human as they come. But the Big Stuff has acutely taken over my small minded small thinking about small things. But back to that awareness piece. The thing that changed everything... You see once it comes it rarely ever leaves you. You're stuck with it and it asks bigger things of you. Which is important, because your attention is a valuable asset... And perhaps your most radical tool of transformation and manifestation. And what often determines where your attention goes? The questions you're asking yourself... everyday. All the fluff like where to go to dinner, what to text them back, if you really need new sneakers, etc... well, these take up less of your mental time and energy when faced with the Big Questions. Wtf is going to happen to all of us? Who am I? Who are we? Are we gonna make it? Why did I come here? Am I doing enough? Am I contributing the best of myself? And btw who even is the "I" observing this all? Ahh consciousness, what a riddle you coax us through. You got me good .

13.01.2022 What if I told you there was this magical activity that could literally CHANGE YOUR LIFE!?! It would boost your immunity so you wouldn’t get sick. It would prevent you from overeating and therefore naturally you’d manage your weight easier. ... It optimises your mental function and focus meaning you own your workday and are super productive, therefore enabling you to earn your living better/easier/faster. And the best part is you’d actually loooooove doing it. Cause it’s pleasurable in that playing with puppies kinda way, not the kind of good for you practice that also takes a bit of willpower like a workout or meditation (feels good, but requires effort and discipline). Yes genius, you guessed it, I’m talkin’ about sleep . I dunno about you, but I am not gonna sleep when I’m dead I’ll be too busy swapping amusing tidbits with Oscar Wilde over a brandy or buying Buddha a chai to pick his brain. So while I’m living I wanna make sure my sleep is as pristine as possible. But in the world we live in that is a whopping challenge, to say the least. The first problem is you probably don’t even know how much you need it and how much better you’d be at life if you got enough of it. Blame that on cultural conditioning, including those BS one-liners etched in your subconscious, like the aforementioned: I’ll sleep when I’m dead (no you won’t mate, you’ll be dead). Once you understand the function of sleep and what it does for your body, you realise it is actually one of the best freaking investments of time you can make. And I mean that as a lifetime investment. Believe me, getting sleep is not missing out on life. Our consciousness becomes updated with reality in present time. The opening and releasing of old programs and paradigms invites us to recognize, appreciate, and bring rest to our bodies and souls in the regenerating flow of authentic love and ease.
