24.01.2022 Wise words from the always wonderful piglet.

23.01.2022 Hello friends! I've decided to return to this page after being away from Facebook for over a year. I took a break due to Facebook's unethical behaviours with regard to child and animal abuse. My views on that are unchanged (though I'm pleased to see that Facebook's moderation policies have improved in response to community demands for better standards). I'm returning to this page because I keep meeting people who are finding their work life challenging. They're seeking str...ategies to reduce work stress and boost their wellbeing at work. Having experienced job burnout twice and then spent the last 15 years researching and coaching on this topic, I can offer a tip a two on this topic. :) My plan is to post as regularly as I can, whilst also maintaining my own wellbeing within a busy workload. You'll receive practical tips, inspiring quotes, and opportunities to share your wellness experiences with like-minded people. What wellness topics are you most interested in at the moment? I'd love to hear your views so I can try to give you what you'd like to receive.

20.01.2022 I love this! It shows what can be achieved when everyone is willing to experiment with new approaches. What do you think?

16.01.2022 From today, I'm taking a break from Facebook due to their unethical actions in relation to child and animal abuse. I'm considering deleting this page and my Facebook account but am going to take some time to consider that decision. Last night, I watched a program called Inside Facebook: Secrets of A Social Network. I found it via Australia's ABC Four Corners program. It was produced in the UK on Channel 4. You'll be able to find it if you search the name of the program. It f...eatured a journalist going under cover and training as a Facebook content moderator. It revealed Facebook's policies on what content is allowed, deleted or marked as disturbing. It particular, it showed Facebook's content moderation policies on videos depicting child abuse, self harm, bullying, and animal abuse. It outlined why such videos are allowed to remain on the site. It is because they typically go viral. Viral videos help to keep users on the site. Users on the site bring advertisers. As the content moderator trainer was shown to say "at the end of the day, it's about the money". This exploitation of victims makes me feel physically sick with disgust. My mission is to use my work to bring wellbeing, healing, and hope to people. One of my big goals for my business is to extend that to animals too. I want to create a Wellness at Work foundation to provide funding to grassroots animal welfare organisations that are helping to end cruelty to animals and care for those who are have been rescued. Because of this, it is incompatible with my values for me to spend my time using a platform, or financially supporting a platform via advertising dollars, that exploits abusive and cruel videos as part of its revenue generation model. It's not right. It's not ethical. And I don't want any part of it. I realise that the decision to end my activities on and with Facebook is a big one that will have impacts on my life and my business. So I'm taking my time with it. But sometimes you have to take an ethical stand and say 'that crosses the line'. And today, sharing this with you, represents one way that I am able to do that. If you'd like to continue receiving my wellness tips, please visit my website. I'm not providing the link here as the algorithm reduces number of people who see a post when there is a link outside of Facebook. You'll find the link to my site in the About section of my Facebook page. When you go to my website, go to the personal wellness section and follow the path to the wellness tips from there. You'll also find contact details if you'd like to get in touch with me at any time. Thank you for reading this. As always, I wish you wellness. Adele

09.01.2022 My two experiences of job burnout were the reason why I became interested in wellness at work, so this article jumped out to me. If you have a position of influence at work or a management role, you may find this helpful. https://hbr.org//how-managers-can-prevent-their-teams-from
