05.01.2022 Sharing a post with you all that I put up last week in one of the groups I run... Just wanted to share: One of the things I reinforce with many of my clients who might be prone to persistent weigh-ins at home is to stop doing this immediately. Not always an easy concept for some to keep off the scales but frequent weighing will create all sorts of negative judgments on an individuals journey which can often create a sabotaging chain of events due to the reading on the scales... triggering a feeling of failure... So is checking one's own weight and measurements okay at all? Of course, but if it has become a daily event then this is by far missing the entire point of wanting a healthier life. A healthy weight range is one factor of health (and this is fact)... but there are many other factors of being healthy too. So I will wrap this little spiel up by finishing with... Focus on and value all the things you are trying to do to be healthier and a better version of yourself eg. Enjoying healthy meals, having relaxation time, getting out in the fresh air, hydrating (my list could go on) - not just that number on the scales!
