25.01.2022 Facial: Facial is one of the best ways to take care of your skin, which cleans, exfoliates and nourishes the skin, promoting a clear, well-hydrated complexion, and can help your skin look younger. A facial treatment includes consultation, cleansing, scrub, facial massage, facial mask, and final application of toner, serums and moisturizer day/night cream.... Ideally, get a facial monthly because thats how long it takes the skin to regenerate. Try to have a facial at least four times a year, as the season changes. You may need it more frequently if you are trying to clear up a case of acne, especially at the beginning. Otherwise, once a month is plenty. You can overdo it, especially if you have sensitive skin.

24.01.2022 Yoga vs Gym Find out which one works better for you... Confused what to choose yoga or gym? Each has its own benefits and we cannot really say one is better than the other. Fitness and lifestyle professional, Nawaz Modi Singhania, says, "Different schools of yoga yield different fitness and health benefits. On the fitness front, by and large, with yoga one can expect increased flexibility, toning, strengthening to a certain degree, meditation and breathing exercises."... Yoga trainer, Yogesh Chavhan says, "A gym session can make you feel tired and hungry while yoga revitalises you and helps in digestion." Nawaz states that while yoga has its distinct pluses, barring the odd exceptions (e.g. power yoga), yoga does not provide the cardiovascular benefits, which are so vitally important to all human beings. She adds, "Fat loss and weight loss is not achieved through yoga, this is derived through cardio activities. Cardio activities could include aerobics, walking, jogging, cycling, rope skipping, dancing and swimming." The Killer Combo Nawaz says, "For ideal results it is best to combine three to four days of cardio with two to three days of yoga, each week. The two can complement each other nicely. Space out your workout days. Keep one day a week for resting. Watch your diet and lifestyle to derive the best results." YOGA -With yoga one can expect increased flexibility, toning and strengthening. -You dont need any equipment, just some space around yourself to practice the various asanas. You save the travel time needed to go to a gym. -You dont feel the urge to bunk yoga sessions because of the convenience it offers. -After a yoga session one feels energetic and fresh. It helps to get rid of fatigue. -Yoga does not increase hunger. -The ancient science of yoga has been developed in such a way that it acts on the internal organs of the body and benefits one not just physically, but mentally, intellectually and spiritually also, says holistic health guru Mickey Mehta. GYM -You need equipment for gymming and also you cannot do it at home. -Not everyone can afford a gym at home. Your gym could be far from home and you might end up using precious time reaching there. -There are times when one tends to bunk gym sessions because of distance, weather, etc. -After a gym work out one may feel tired and having to deal with sore body parts. -A gym session may increase your hunger and lead to overeating. -Gym sessions act more or less on the outer appearance and tone the muscles. -A gym workout mostly has only physical benefits and rarely offers mental stimulation.

24.01.2022 Ayurveda: Ayurveda is an Indian health practice thought to be more than 5000 years old. It consists of a number of disciplines, including aromatherapy, diet, herbal medicine, acupuncture, yoga, massage, meditation and balancing of energies. The word "ayurveda" is translated from Sanskrit to mean "the science of life". While few peer-reviewed studies have shown ayurvedic medicine has much effect in curing or treating disease, anecdotal evidence suggests many of its practices,... including meditation, yoga and herbal remedies, have a positive effect on health. Just because ayurvedic medicine is complementary doesnt necessarily mean its safer than western medicine. "Some [complementary medicines] have potential risks, such as side effects, toxicity and allergies," says Karen Kaye, deputy CEO of the National Prescribing Service. Sometimes conventional medicine could be contraindicated by using ayurvedic practices.Be wary if a practitioner doesnt have recognised qualifications. In Australia, the most widely recognised accreditation is an advanced diploma of avurvedic medicine.

17.01.2022 Love and relationships are all that matter. Many studies have been done to figure out what exactly gives us happiness. And all of them point to this: positive social relationship. A lot of people spend the rest of their life trying to earn money. But at the end of their journey, they realize that its not money, fame or fortune that make them truly happy. So slow it down. Take that vacation leave youve been meaning. Go home early tonight and spend more time with your family. By the time you get old, you are not going to reflect on the time you spent at work, but the family dinners, romantic dates, great vacations, and other special events youve shared with your friends and loved ones.

08.01.2022 NLP: Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) was originally created in 1975 by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, but since that time, many others have contributed towards its growth and development. There are several descriptions of what NLP actually is, but they all agree that Modelling is a core component, that opens a window into ascertaining how people function. It explores the relationship between how one thinks (neuro) and communicates both verbally and non verbally (lingui...stic), and patterns of behaviour and emotion (programmes). NLP is a behaviour technique that teaches people how to change or adopt new behaviours as required and to choose mental and physical states of wellbeing. In effect, it is about knowing what is going on inside oneself and others. NLP practitioners teach the use of NLP techniques to people in many areas of life. It is suitable for business professionals, teachers, sales people, counsellors and therapists. Some of the improved skills said to be achieved by the use of NLP include: Management and sales Communication Increased motivation Interpersonal skills Personal development Practitioners believe that changing how you think, will also change what you think.

08.01.2022 Cupping: Cupping is one aspect of Traditional Chinese Medicine that you may not have heard of before but that can have many benefits for you from helping with pain right through to respiratory disorders. Read on to find out more. What is Cupping?... Cupping is an ancient Chinese therapy in which a cup is applied to the skin and the pressure in the cup is reduced (either by heat or suction) in order to draw and hold skin and superficial muscles inside the cup. Sometimes, while the suction is active, the cup is moved, causing the skin and muscle to be pulled. This is called gliding cupping. Cupping is applied to certain acupuncture points as well as to parts of the body that have been affected by pain, where the pain is deeper than the tissues to be pulled. Cupping has greater emphasis on the back acupuncture due to the ease with which it can be performed on the back. Most practitioners use the back shu points or bladder meridian and the dazhui. It is frequently used after acupuncture, blood letting, or plum blossom treatment. Cupping is based on the meridian theory of the body. On one hand, cupping removes any stagnation in the body and opens the meridians so that qi can flow freely. On the other, it also helps to rejuvenate certain meridians and organs that are not functioning at their best. From a scientific standpoint, cupping is known to help activate the lymphatic system, promote blood circulation, and is good for deep tissue repair.
