22.01.2022 Intimacy We humans have an innate and often intense desire, throughout our lives for intimacy. It is experienced as an endless ache for something we can’t fathom and often blame our partners for not supplying. The idea that the Divine Nature is Love can be a difficult and improbable suggestion when clearly we’re in a mess here and surely it’s not all of our own making. Some of our messes appear to be built in. And yet, believers in a Being who created and goes on creating a...ll this often insist that Love is at the centre of the cosmos and that our task here is to become more loving. What is often missed in the teaching is the idea of relationship with the Source being one of intimate loving connection; acceptance of us exactly as we are (stuff we’re no good at supplying to those we love). Because we tend to make god in our own image it follows then that this god is critical, demanding and punitive. One of the explanations for why Buddhism is thriving in western culture is due to its attention to acceptance, gratitude and gentle spiritedness; far more attractive! Yet, the ache continues. 2. How might a divine being express itself as Love? See more

10.01.2022 What if What if the world was created fourteen billion years ago by a benign being who loves science bestowing each and every particle of light with a place in the great order? This Source desires connection and reconnection each and every time there is separation? What if the order of events was like the artist painting a mural in intricate detail over decades? What if this designer of the universe had a nature for sharing the joy of creating, and so created creative being...s? And, what if each of these, spirit, human and animal, are loved and valued by this artist? What then might happen if this Being was constantly pushing and pulling creation to recognise and use its resources? What if this central organising force was centred in love? What if one of these creatures felt the urge to write about how that might look? You might read The Caretakers Trilogy to find out! www.wellsource.com.au See more

06.01.2022 Picture the Divine Picture God the mother lifting Her infant to Her face after feeding, feeling warmth from the cheek lain close to Her breast, kissing the small mouth covered in milk. (why deny the closeness of this possibility?) Also this: Batter my heart, three-personed God, for, you... As yet but knock, breathe, shine, and seek to mend; That I may rise, and stand, o’erthrow me, and bend Your force to break, blow, burn and make me new. Take me to you, for I Except you enthrall me, never shall be free, Nor ever chaste, except you ravish me (John Donne 1608) See more
