25.01.2022 A terrific post on managing stress in a healthy way. Stress can be a great driver for us to reach our goals, however problems can occur when this stress becomes unmanageable. Chiropractic, along with proper nutrition and movement, allows us to be more adaptable to the stresses in our lives. With thanks to Anita and Greg at NT Chiropractic, Health and Wellness Centre in Darwin.

25.01.2022 Proud to be celebrating one year of Wellspring Chiropractic in Hamilton Hill! Thank you to this amazing community, who we activate, integrate, and celebrate life with on a daily basis!

25.01.2022 Our Wellness Focus for May is Movement!! Did you know? Doing something NEW is a great way to keep movement FUN! When was the last time you took a NEW class, or walked a DIFFERENT path around the neighbourhood? Challenge yourself this month! Find a NEW way to move!

25.01.2022 Resting gives our bodies a chance to heal and regenerate. It is admirable to try and "soldier on" through sickness and pain, however it is not healthy! When was your last vacation?

23.01.2022 We always water our plants while they are still green, because once the leaves turn brown it is often too late! So why do we procrastinate so much about our health? It is so much easier and more effective to "keep yourself green" rather than waiting until you're in a big crisis. See you at Wellspring Chiropractic!

23.01.2022 Dr Adam is checking backs and having a laugh, this morning at the Palmyra Western Farmers Markets! Come say hello!

23.01.2022 Our Wellness Focus for April is our amazing nervous system! Did you know? In addition to our five senses, we humans have an amazing sixth sense! Yes, "proprioception" allows us to coordinate our position in space, and is vital for us to avoid injury. Proprioception is one of the many nervous system functions that are improved each time you visit your chiro! Wow!

22.01.2022 Our wellness focus for the month is Chiro for Infants and Kids! Did you know? Being born can be a real pain in the neck! Even a natural, uncomplicated birth produces massive pressure on a newborn's neck, skull, and nervous system, and even moreso when forceps or a C-section is used! Chiropractic is a safe and gentle method of restoring the health of your newborn or toddler, so your child can settle, sleep, feed, and thrive! WOW!

22.01.2022 The Wellness Focus for October is nutrition! Did you know... Dr. Adam definitely eats a lot more junk-food during stressful times! It's true! This is commonly known as stress-eating or emotional eating, and it is a familiar way to avoid the pain of life! Some questions to ask: - Is there a pattern to my eating habits? - Am I avoiding pain, instead of facing it?

21.01.2022 This month's Wellness Focus is 'positive mindset'. It is hard to stay positive when the world is so cynical! I love these cartoons by Michael Leunig Appreciation Page, I make sure they appear first in my News Feed.

21.01.2022 The Wellness Focus for November is MOVEMENT! Did you know? Just as we might choose a healthy snack to re-fuel in the afternoon, we can also give our bodies a little "movement snack"! It could be rolling your shoulders, wiggling your toes, or taking a lap around the office. Exercise can be bite-size, too! What is your favourite "movement snack"?

20.01.2022 We are focusing on movement this month at Wellspring! Aside from the physical benefits, did you know regular, dynamic movement has been shown to assist with depression? Wow!

20.01.2022 Today is very special, as Dr Adam is proud to be a part of Kraken, presented by Blazing Swan and City of Fremantle. Today will be a busy day of music, art, and a sunset bonfire on Bathers Beach. Lets get Kraken!

20.01.2022 Our 'Wellness Focus' for December is the importance of a healthy Nervous System. I love this fact, discovered by Nobel Prize winner Dr. Roger Sperry. It is no wonder a visit to your chiropractor leaves you performing at your best!

19.01.2022 He must get adjusted regularly! In 1974, Philippe Petit performed a tight-rope walk 400 meters above the ground... between the twin towers in NYC! Balance is super-important, and is also a great indicator of health in the elderly. Your balance is improved every time you visit your local chiropractor (wow!!)

19.01.2022 This month we are focusing on Nutrition! Thanks to Anita and Greg at NT Chiropractic, Health and Wellness Centre in Darwin, because Dr. Adam loves this chart for a happy desk lunch!

18.01.2022 Our Wellness Focus for February is "sleep hygiene", or healthy sleep habits. Did you know? Having a "routine" at bedtime can help us drop off more easily, and sleep more deeply! Whether it's washing up, lighting a candle, or reading a book, our brain responds well to a regular bedtime routine. Dr. Adam's goal for 2019 is to have 30 minutes of "no screens" before bed. What is your sleepytime routine?

17.01.2022 This month's Wellness Focus at Wellspring is movement, and what a great video to get inspired. Dr Fabrizio Mancini (Dr Fab!) is a terrific Chiro and a big inspiration for Dr Adam.

17.01.2022 Have you ever had a case of "text neck" after staring down at your phone? The human head weighs as much as a bowling ball, and our spine needs to be aligned to support it! This report suggests raising your device up to eye level to avoid headaches and neck aches.

15.01.2022 This month's Wellness Focus is 'positive mindset'. Did you know we can make ourselves physically ill with our own thoughts? Get clear between the ears and visit your local chiropractor. With thanks to Dr Suzie Kippen at My Chiropractor in Mackay, QLD!

14.01.2022 This month's Wellness Focus is 'positive mindset'. Louise Hay was a respected American mindset-coach, and one of her hallmarks were daily self-affirmations. Even when surrounded by family and loved ones, we don't always get to hear the gentle and nourishing words we need, so we sometimes need to say them to ourselves. I have set Louise Hay's Facebook page to appear first in my daily feed, because I think these affirmations are terrific. Repeat them into the bathroom mirror!

14.01.2022 Our current wellness focus is your nervous system! Did you know: Your amazing nervous system has two modes: the "sympathetic" mode (active/up, switched on, fight-and-flight), and "parasympathetic" (calm, safe, rest-and-digest). Both are vital, however we are all too "switched on" these days! In addition to your regular adjustment, you can help your parasympathetic mode by: Breathing slower; Yoga; Massage; Floatation pods; Meditation; Being in nature; Hugging!! PS: TV doesn't count! Although it seems relaxing, it stimulates the mind very much!

13.01.2022 Did you know? Bad times can be good medicine! It's easy to be grateful for the good stuff, however, the difficult times can also help us grow stronger. Gratefully integrating both the good and bad experiences into our lives is a way to nurture a positive mindset, which is our Wellness Focus for August. Can you think of a challenging time you are now grateful for?

13.01.2022 Our Wellness-Focus for April is breathing! DID YOU KNOW: The way we breathe affects our health! Stressful times can provoke short, rapid breaths, instead of nice, deep, belly-breaths. Good breathing influences digestion, blood-pressure, brain function, and more! You can breathe easy at your local chiropractor, as each adjustment allows your ribs and diaphragm to properly expand, for nice, big, belly-breaths! WOW!

12.01.2022 100 Likes!!! Woo-hoo, thankyou for helping me spread the word about Wellspring Chiropractic!! You can see myself and Pink Floyd having so much fun. Here's to the next 100, and 1,000, and 10,000!!

12.01.2022 Our Wellness Focus for March is our relationship with food! Did you know? We can subconsciously assign a "morality" to the foods we eat, where some foods are inherently "good" (ie: vegetables) while others are inherently "bad" (ie: chocolate). This is an unhelpful and unhealthy way to view food, possibly leading to eating disorders! A more healthy method is to view all foods as "neutral", and then ask how we might feel after eating it (which can change and is flexible!) What is your relationship with food?

12.01.2022 With thanks to Yogahub Mt Hawthorn.

11.01.2022 Dr. Adam will be providing free back and neck checks at the Kraken event this weekend, so come and say hello! Presented by City of Fremantle and Blazing Swan Festival, this family-friendly day will combine arts, music, with a grand finale bonfire on Bathers Beach! Wow!

11.01.2022 The Wellness Focus for December is our Nervous System! Did you know? Our nervous system includes our brain, which extends into our neck to become our spinal cord. Tiny nerves branch off to supply electrical information to every muscle, organ, and cell of our body. When our spine isn't working right, it creates problems in different parts of our body. In this way, we see that each adjustment from your chiropractor benefits every part of your body! Wow!!

11.01.2022 "Exercise is the most transformative thing you can do for your brain today". Wow! Dr Wendy Suzuki's message fits this month's wellness theme here at Wellspring... Movement!

08.01.2022 This month's wellness focus is nutrition! Gut health is an amazing area of research. The trillions of little friends that live in our gut (our "microbiome") play a huge role in our bodies, and even our minds! Fermented foods and probiotics are very supportive for these micro-critters.

06.01.2022 This month's Wellness Focus is 'positive mindset'. Stress comes in many forms, and can often be a useful tool to reach our goals. Chronic stress, on the other hand, is detrimental to our wellbeing. This site is run by Dr. John and Judy Hinwood, the inspirational Aussie chiros who have branched out into 'stress management'. They offer 1-to-1 Skype coaching, plus heaps of free strategies for stress relief and management.

06.01.2022 Modus in Myaree is a terrific place to wake up the body and get some movement in your life. The instructors are smart and friendly, and they also helped Dr. Adam perform his first handstand!

03.01.2022 Feeling festive for the last shift of the year! Merry Christmas, from Dr. Adam!

02.01.2022 The Wellness Focus for September is SLEEP! Did you know? Sleep is a fantastically complex function of our brain! Regular, natural sleep has the most marvellous results for: - Improved memory & emotions, and reduced risk of dementia; - Problem solving and creativity; - Lowered food cravings, and reduced risk of diabetes; - Reduced risk of stroke, heart attack, and cancer... - Even wards off the common cold! WOW!! See more
