24.01.2022 Answer: You can't tell from this photo! But, there are some things you can do to prevent your risk: Never wash dirty eggs. Dirty eggs may have Salmonella b...acteria on their shell and washing them allows bacteria to move from the outside of the shell to inside. Never use cracked eggs. The cracks allow Salmonella to enter the egg and grow inside #WorldEggDay

22.01.2022 Today we had Brisbane City Council stop by to pay us a visit in regards to our plight to keep trading on our family property here in Doolandella. They have ver...bally given us a direction to close our business on Wednesday 12th August at 5pm. If we open our QLD Registered mobile food business at 9am on Thursday 13th August further enforcement action will be taken against us in the form of infringement or compliance notices. In regards to the park that Brisbane City Council have offered, it isnt equipped or viable to run a mobile food business from as the park does not have the following- please keep in mind the first three points are what we were inspected on & had to pass on back when we first opened! 1 /No Three phase town power 2/ No Running Water 3/ No grey water dump points 4/ No security 5/ No passing traffic Without all of these things that are required to operate our food van how are we to operate in a park? Run off a generator? then have a noise complaint as it would have to run 24/7 for the freezers & fridges. Have no water let alone no grey water dump point how is that passable for health food & safety hygiene? We have all these things that are required to operate here at our family property. We dont want to stay here permanently, we just want to trade while were in the middle of this global Covid 19 pandemic. What happened to were all in this together Brisbane City Council? Were not closing, were going to keep fighting this! We hope to continue to see you guys throughout this week & next. Cheers Jesse & Alicia McDonald.

20.01.2022 R U OK DAY! Check in with a mate, family member, work colleague and ask them R U OK?

20.01.2022 Public Health Alert Japanese health authorities have today advised Queensland Health of a case that tested positive for COVID-19 after returning to Japan ...from Brisbane, via Sydney. A public health alert has been issued for Virgin flight VA962 from Brisbane to Sydney on Monday, August 17 2020 and anyone who dined at The Jam Pantry caf at Greenslopes on Sunday, 16 August, 2020. Queensland Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young said contact tracing was underway, and appropriate action had been taken at all relevant locations. The woman arrived in Australia in mid-July and was in hotel quarantine in Sydney for two weeks prior to coming to Brisbane. While in quarantine, she returned two negative test results, Dr Young said. Because she quarantined in Sydney and travelled straight to Brisbane from hotel quarantine, she could go about her normal life in Brisbane. However, on her arrival to Japan on 18 August, she was asymptomatic but returned a positive COVID-19 result. While we are still determining where the virus may have been acquired, we are working with Japanese authorities to gather necessary information. We have been in touch with six close contacts in Brisbane identified by the woman. These people have been tested and are now in quarantine. Queensland Health is working with NSW Health to contact people from Virgin flight VA962 from Brisbane to Sydney on Monday, August 17 2020, who were in close contact with the case. We ask that all passengers monitor their health and if they develop any symptoms, come forward for testing immediately. Any individuals who dined in at The Jam Pantry caf at Greenslopes on Sunday, 16 August, 2020 from 9.45am to 11am will be contacted by the local Public Health Unit. Anyone else who dined at the caf outside these hours on that day should come forward for testing if they develop any COVID-19 symptoms. Queensland Health will notify the community if any further public health alerts are required. The most up-to-date reliable information is available on the Queensland Health website at www.health.qld.gov.au/coronavirus

18.01.2022 Our Trading update As of 3.39pm today Friday 21st August 2020 we received an email from Jeffery Yu who is the Built Environment Officer from Brisbane City C...ouncil to serve us with an enforcement letter to Cease trading of our business within 7 Days of receipt of the hard copy letter, we havent received this hard copy yet. Over the last few days weve been offered another safelocation to explore for trading our food van at, by Brisbane City Council. This address is 420 Progress Rd. Of course we want to comply with BCC but upon going to the safe trading location they have offered us, we noticed it was also a 70km speed zone location. With no visibility to on coming traffic, when exiting down into the carpark without coming to a complete stop in the middle of the road. When exiting the carpark again there is no visibility for motorists to see any on coming traffic to exit safely. We have asked numerous amounts of time to supply us with the legislation of Trading as an Itinerant. Chris Isles from Brisbane City Council who is the Economic Development Officer replied to us today with There is no single legislative definition of itinerant. Its rather interpreted from several sections of the planning act. On the Brisbane City Council website it states that you can trade itinerantly on private property. We believe we are itinerant trading! We want to see the rules & regulations on what itinerant trading is? Is it 1 day trading, is it 1 month trading? or is it 6mths? etc. So this is where we are at! Thank you for your support, Yes we are still open & trading until further notice. Jesse & Alicia McDonald
