25.01.2022 Thank you Thank you Thank you! Thank you to the Awesome Volunteers that helped with the Year Six Vegetable Garden Project . A great big massive thank you to the brilliant team of volunteers, led by master builder Peter Daffen who answered the call to build a brand new picket fence around the Year Six Vegetable Garden. It is looking so good and really makes a big difference. Peter, who is a builder with his own business (https://www.nestorgroup.net/) took the time out of his ...very busy schedule to organise all of the materials and then build the fence over a couple of weekends. As site supervisor he was ably assisted by a crew of parents and some year six students who have all done an amazing job. 21.01.2022 We need your help! The P&C are making an application to secure a manned crosswalk for Hale Road and part of that process is us doing a survey to make sure we meet the vehicle and pedestrian traffic numbers. We will be conducting the survey this Monday September 14th before and after school, and we will be focused on the cut-in crossing that is already in place on Hale Road between Calais and Dover. Having infrastructure already in place will aid greatly in our application - w...hich is why we have chosen that spot. If you live South of Hale Road we would love you to encourage your kids to walk or ride to and from school(and you as well!!), to give us an indication if we do have the numbers. We think we do - but we just need to make sure, otherwise we can't proceed with the application. We have also contacted other schools whose students cross Hale Road and asked for their support too. We will keep you posted on our progress once we have done this first step. We look forward to making it easier and safer for all of our kids to get to school. #safecrossing #loveourschool #wdpspandc

Your support of our P&C is much loved and appreciated. A special shout out to Tam Bourne and Nita Allen for their uber impressive organisation skills and for all that they do - thank you! We loved it so much we are doing it again next Wednesday September 16th! Our school is hosting the inter-s...chool faction carnival next Wednesday which means we will be welcoming five schools to our lovely oval! We will be holding a cake stall and sausage sizzle again and even though its not a competition about which school does the best cake stall........(it kinda is!!!). 07.01.2022 Wow - how lovely it was to see all of the kids and parents walking and riding to school to today! We conducted our vehicle and traffic audit today, before and after school as part of the process to apply for a manned crosswalk attendant and we are happy to confirm - we definitely meet the minimum requirements as far as numbers go (in fact we smashed 'em). Over 1200 vehicles long Hale Road in one hour this morning(even with a breatho in place) , which is exactly why we need a... manned crossing. Maxim and Cleo also conducted the all important bugs, slugs and ants audit too! We will keep you posted as to how we are progressing and what each step entails, but for now a big thank you to everyone who escorted,walked, scooted and rode to and from school and also a super big thank you to Letty Miller and Nita Allen for volunteering your time before and after school today to help out. #safecrossing #wdpspandc #loveourschool #loveourcommunity
