08.01.2022 VALE JOHN GILLARD Wembley Baseball Club is saddened to hear the recent passing of past player, John Gillard. John was a much loved club member, baseball and football player with both the Wembley Baseball and Wembley Football clubs.... John was a very talented baseball player having won the best batting awards in A and B grades for the following years: 1974/75 L W NANKERVIS TROPHY 1963/64 & 1965/66 MAX GIMM TROPHY 1958 R J MCFARLANE SHEILD John also served in the baseball administration in the late seventies and early eighties. In 1975, John was awarded life membership with the Wembley Athletic Club for his contribution and commitment to the club. After retiring from baseball, John became an avid golfer. We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Gillard family and all who knew John. John will be very much missed by our community and his loved ones are in our thoughts.

At Baseball Down Under, we’re extremely proud to introduce our off-season training program starting this Saturday, May 15th! We do still have spots available for bookings if your son or daughter is interested in participating in a fantastic program aimed at developing the necessary pitching and hitting skills to give these young athletes the upper hand over their competition. The beautiful thing is T-Ballers are welcomed as well! If you have a child who is looking to transition into baseball, this program will be dedicated to teaching them the necessary skills to make a seamless transition to the baseball diamond! The kids that are involved will have the opportunity to play positions that they may not of had the chance to play before.
