25.01.2022 When I grow up I would like to have an art gallery like Nanny! Secretly chuffed my grandkids know what an art gallery is- well of course I don’t actually own it but you can visit my solo exhibition on now at Art Gallery on Ovens in Wangaratta. 24.01.2022 Nat suggested I enter this exciting competition where 3 artists win a collaboration with Gorman clothing. This is my entry which got approved for the contest yesterday. As well as the 3 winners there is a Peoples Choice Award worth $2000. Also one lucky voter can win $2000!! So there is nothing to lose really. 23.01.2022 My painting Ice Cream Mountain sold recently which was wonderful news in this climate. The young buyer sent me a photo of Ice Cream Mountain sitting above his fireplace where he says it brightens up the grey walls. I think all of Victoria needs a painting like this at the moment! 22.01.2022 Table Top Mountain. This was a painting that was going nowhere until I attended a workshop with Earth Canvas Australia at Gerogery. NSW. It was there that I gazed across the western slopes of Table Top Mountain and knew how to finish this painting. I figured now was a good time to share as I probably won't be allowed back for a while! It's painted on board and framed in Tassie Oak.
17.01.2022 Having a varnishing day today on the back deck. This is "Reckless" waiting patiently at the bar for its turn. It is another painting on board, part of my abstract landscape series with a limited colour palette. 17.01.2022 As it's my birthday today and it can only be a quiet one here in Victoria I thought it would be a good day to release my new website. My brother in law Jon built it in his spare time and has done an amazing job. He also was very patient as he worked with a complete novice who also changed her mind a fair bit. I love it because it's enabled me to record and reflect on my art journey so far and of course show all my art in one place. 16.01.2022 Here's one to brighten up your day (or room!) in the depth of winter. It's called A Summer's Day. I remember sweating over it in January and now it's just been framed in Tassie Oak. It has layers of paint and texture on board creating quite a punch.
15.01.2022 It was a fun day at our Autumn Exhibition Paste Up in the lane outside Art Gallery on Ovens. It was run in conjunction with Wang Laneways who showed us the pasting technique on posters of our art. They have also made prints on quality canvas from these art works that you can order form the gallery. My painting is called Flourish and you can see the original with some other amazing art work in the gallery until August 3rd. www.artgalleryonovens.com
14.01.2022 This is my biggie named Contemplation. There was a lot of contemplating going on while painting it and I think it shows. It used to be a very busy painting until I wiped a lot of it out enabling it to have some interesting details, etchings and texture. I would love to know what you see in it. A garden maybe or under the sea? x
12.01.2022 I'm away for a few days on Victoria's west coast getting lots of fresh air (see my hair!) as well as playing in my sketch book. However I really wanted to thank the lovely people that wished me well or even voted for my art entry in the recent Collab with Gorman art competition. It was very much appreciated. 10.01.2022 If you are looking for an art experience you might want to visit Art Gallery on Ovens which is now open with social distancing. This art work of mine is called Troll Country and is part of the Look Out exhibition at the gallery. It seemed a good fit with all the windows and doors for the folk to look out from. It's also very bright with my trade mark colours! Have a great weekend. #artgalleryonovens

In the main gallery @artbyizzysirianni has a lovely solo exhibition "Embellished Realms". 02.01.2022 I'd like to share a wonderful story. We all need these! Pictured is a paint palette from the painting Contemplation that seemed too pretty to throw out. Gabby who makes beautiful resin jewellery and has a shop next to Art Gallery on Ovens in Wangaratta commented on how colourful it was so I offered it to her to play with. Next thing I know my acrylic paint scraps have been turned into 6 pairs of beautiful earrings!! Not only that...imagine my surprise when I jumped on her web...site and saw them listed in her shop under the heading GABBY X WENDA GRANT ART 'CONTEMPLATION' COLLECTION. Thank you so much @gabby_resin.
