24.01.2022 Have planted the bee friendly garden about two and a half weeks ago and I already can see results, I have placed the garden bed in the middle of the iris beds, next job will be to place a water trough nearby.

22.01.2022 On inspection around the garden beds in the iris nursery, I could see an iris that I looked at yesterday and thought it was going to be another purple iris to my surprise this is what I found, very happy with the colour. What other name could I give this iris except exquisite color. Have a good day.

08.01.2022 This is an iris from a cross I did in 1915 and I planted the 27 seeds from the pod in 2016, even though the iris is loverly if you look at the beard it has an extension which looks like a rhino's horn. There are 2 new space age irises 1 is called a horned iris and the other is called a spooned iris. I also have a spooned iris as soon as I can get a photo I will pur a post with a picture

04.01.2022 Today I decided to check and see if I had any more shoots coming up from the new iris seeds and when I walked through the gate I was greeted with a beautiful rainbow

03.01.2022 2 years ago I was checking my irises and I saw a seed pod which I had not crossed on further investigation there were 2 in the 1 bed so I thank the flying insects that help, which leaves me hanging in suspense this year after seeing that some of the seeds now have flower stems and 1 opened at the start of the week and today another has opened, it's the surprises in life that bring joy and excitement
