23.01.2022 The NSW Government is calling on all Sydneysiders and NSW residents to be a COVID safe tourist in their own backyard and support local businesses by booking tours and visiting attractions. The NSW Government has two new tools to inspire holidaymakers and help them ‘value-add’ to their stay: An interactive ‘Love NSW’ map that allows travellers to search for and identify tourism experiences based on theme. Users can also find experiences within three hours’ drive of a selected location, or zoom in to street level to see links to even more tourism businesses (www.lovensw.com.au) A series of new Sydney ‘playcation’ itineraries highlighting the luxury, family, outdoor adventure, foodie, culture, romance and wellness experiences on offer across the CBD and Greater Sydney (www.sydney.com).

06.01.2022 Prepare your bushfire survival plan, don’t drive through floodwater, swim between the flags, and make sure your home is fire safe this summer these are some of the safety tips NSW emergency service agencies have shared ahead of the 2020 summer season. Aussie summers are iconic, but they can also be tragic. Last year, we had a horror bushfire season. This year, we’re expecting a wet and wild summer. But bushfires and storms are not the only threats we face. Last summer’s bus...hfires destroyed 2,476 homes and claimed 26 lives in NSW. Every family should have a five-minute conversation about important decisions like when to leave and what to take if a fire threatens your home. Find out more about the steps you can take to Get Ready for summer at https://resilience.nsw.gov.au/prepare.html
02.01.2022 Yesterday I was thrilled to attend the grand opening of the newly upgraded playground area down at the Milperra Community Centre. Thanks to the NSW State Government and our Community Building Partnership Program, we were able to cover the upgrade with the $32,182 allocated. The Milperra Community Centre is currently being used as 1 of 800 playgroup meeting places in NSW. Playgroup NSW hold around 1000 playgroup sessions every week. Bringing together over 20,000 children each... week who benefit by attending playgroups. Playgroup NSW is an informal session where mums, dads, grandparents, caregivers, children and babies meet up in a relaxed and friendly environment. Playgroup NSW is by far a much needed resource for our local community and I’m so over the moon have had this recent upgrade completed.
