23.01.2022 I could not be surviving lockdown without my cat Bo. The ever chirpy and carefree little guy who roams around without a care in the world Right now his social life is booming, and unlike me he’s allowed out for more than 2 hours a day (and without a mask!) ... But I can tell when he is picking up on how I’m feeling, if I’m emotional I can notice his behaviour change and depending on what I’m going through this may be signs of sympathy or erratic behaviour and this is usually a great indicator for me if I may have disconnected from how I’ve been feeling. 22.01.2022 Have someone in mind that you’re struggling to forgive? Does it feel impossible given the circumstances? Forgiveness is not about condoning someone’s behaviour towards us, it’s about being able to let it go. And by letting it go it’s actually referring to you not having to carry around the emotions and the beliefs you formed from this event. ... You may feel feel anger, rage, hate, resentment, hurt, sadness, shame - emotions we really don’t want to feel, yet if we haven’t forgiven someone we carry these emotions around with us unconsciously until we get triggered. I do recommend a good box of tissues on hand though. ... 18.01.2022 Meet Kitten. Kitten was diagnosed with a terminal illness called FIP. In Australia cats diagnosed with this generally do not survive. Kittens owner Claire contacted me urgently to see what I could do to save him. ... I was able to verify he was holding onto a lot of pain that Claire had from a past trauma. I immediately did a self directed healing session on Claire to enable her to let go of the pain, which then let go in Kitten. 18.01.2022 Feeling powerless. Powerlessness is an emotion, it’s not who you are. Feeling powerless is no different to feeling angry, frustrated or sad. ... With other emotions we assume they will pass eventually however the feeling of powerlessness is an emotion that tends to be felt and translated in our bodies so literally we believe we are actually powerless. Most people don’t know HOW to express the emotion of powerlessness, it’s much more subtle. If someone is sad, they cry, if someone is angry their breath and pulse may pick up speed. When we feel powerless it’s an awful feeling we would rather not feel and often want to hide any expression of it ASAP from ourselves and others. To offset this feeling of powerlessness we may quickly go into a behaviour that makes us feel powerful asap. When this behaviour comes from a place of unexpressed chronic powerlessness this may look like force - forcing others to do as you ask of them, along with physical and verbal abuse. It can take quite a bit of energy and effort and in many instances can cause destruction and will teach others they are powerless too. The other side of powerlessness is feeling so defeated you want to hide and not take action because you don’t believe you have any personal power. But we have to feel and acknowledge it if we are to let it move through us so we can let it go. 09.01.2022 Patterns. Most if not all of the unhealthy patterns in our life tend to be unconscious, and the reasons why we have them and the feelings behind them tend to be unconscious also. Some people may be consciously aware of a pattern they have and can clearly articulate to originate from a very specific point in time. This awareness is a great start yet what will break the pattern is the real follow through. ... Many people tend to rest on their laurels assuming their awareness of the pattern or destructive behaviour will be enough to release it however this is not always the case. Many people will carry an awareness of their pattern for decades and there can be a tendency to use it as an excuse if we lack the faith, knowledge or resources to heal it. I had xyz trauma at x age therefore this is the why I do what I do (lash out, check out, be addicted, etc). The real work begins when we commit to ourselves to heal it. There often come a point where people no longer accept our excuses and the time comes where we have to face it, and this has to be done with compassion for ourselves, not self blame. Even though we may be conscious of the event that caused a pattern, what is deeply unconscious is the trapped emotions and feelings about it which is what I help you to let go of with compassion. 09.01.2022 How do you help someone that doesn’t want to be helped. Option 1: Hold space for them. Let them be emotional. Just they are. Without trying to fix. Listen to them speak. Or not speak. We can feel when someone wants to change or fix us and we shut down. Accept them as they are. ... Option 2: Acknowledge that the pain you see in them is yours. This is the invisible magnetism that draws us to someone and we have no idea why. This is the inner stirring of our own wounds, the parts of us we have hidden away that was too painful, usually shameful so we disowned it. That’s not me I’m not that person anymore That type of damage never happened to me. But like attracts like. And this is good news not bad news. This is the first step to your liberation. We quickly see our unconscious wounds when we see ourselves in others. Take note of what you believe or judge about them. You may have no idea how it relates to you and that’s ok. The most powerful transformative healings are the aspects we are completely unconscious of. This is what I am here to help you do. Go deep. 08.01.2022 Being triggered is when something strikes a chord within us from an earlier emotional wound and has just been reactivated. Taking something personally is basically the same as being triggered. Most advice is to brush it aside and try to not let it sink in or bother you, yet this is a wasted opportunity. ... Take note (observe) what you take personally and what triggers you. That’s when you start to notice the pattern and it makes it much easier for you to distinguish if it is actually your own wound or if the other person was genuinely out of line (it can be both but good to distinguish and notice your pattern regardless). When you have noticed the pattern - when the same challenge comes up with different people - that’s when you know it’s time to heal it, and you now have the power to break the cycle and restore your personal peace. 06.01.2022 Often when we go into excessive mental analysis and trying to understand something or someone it can be avoiding the emotion associated with the situation. The mental analysis is often a form of emotional disassociation. What’s the emotion driving your need to understand?... Often it’s fear of loss. This can stir suppressed anxiety and panic, and often there’s deeper emotions of sadness or grief where you have experienced this type of loss in the past and it’s bringing this fear up for you again without realising it. Just try owning what feeling it is that’s driving your need to work it out and understand it. Drop out of your head and into your heart to feel immediate relief of the pressure. There’s been heated conversations involving opinions of him but it’s crucial to take note of what’s happening at a deeper level here in terms the mindset and emotional triggers of society overall. There is no exception to the rule - what we see in others is in ourselves. Over hundreds of clients and healings on myself have shown me this. What angers and triggers us about another is a deep unconscious disowned part of ourselves that is r...eady to heal, grow, learn, forgive and up level to feel at peace again. Here in Melbourne we’ve just come out of what seems like a year long lockdown and during that time I’ve had so many friends recognise how great they felt without having the pressure to socially drink. A number of my clients have been able to lose up to 20kg, as the...y were able to stick to their fitness regime without falling off the wagon ie. drinking, staying up late, eating too much while drinking, eating junk the next day, not sleeping well...all things that influence our health, well-being, our weight loss and ultimately our radiance. 04.01.2022 Feeling triggered. When we feel triggered we feel highly emotional. Triggered by someone or something else outside of us. ... Feeling triggered happens when something was already there inside of us waiting. It hits a chord of a past event that wasn’t resolved at the time. That simple passing comment from someone could have dredged up unexpressed grief about a lost loved one, or anger about past injustices. These are emotions trapped within our bodies. They get ‘triggered’ in time so they can be brought to the surface to be healed. Normally people run and hide from their triggers, hiding in shame, deep down suspecting that perhaps they are flawed and powerless to do anything about it. Over time if this continues we question our emotions and teach ourselves not to trust them, when in fact they are guidance. You are not powerless, in fact your triggers are incredibly powerful if you know how to alchemise them. I take your triggers and turn them into gold for you. Your triggers are the key to you moving forward and are not to be ignored, suppressed or dismissed. They are to be noticed, felt and transmuted. Start to notice what triggers you. You may notice a recurring theme. If it keeps showing up repeatedly in different people it’s a trigger and a mirror of an unhealed part of us. The pay-off for healing triggers is emotional immunity. 02.01.2022 So many of us have a post war mentality without even realising it. If you either lived through a war yourself, were raised by someone who lived through a war and their parents were raised my parents who lived through wars then programming for a post war mentality may run deep. It is a part of our psyche whether we realise it or not. These beliefs will sound like:... Feeling emotion is weak and is wasted time We need to harden up & keep going to survive The colder and harder I am as a person the stronger I will be Fun is wasted time, we need to focus on survival It doesn’t help to wallow in your emotions These beliefs would have been very relevant during war times and imperative to survive at the time. But things have changed, and now we know numbing our emotions and denying enjoyment won’t serve us anymore. Ask yourself if you still need to numb your emotions, and get on with it knowing that when we numb our uncomfortable emotions we also numb positive emotions. This belief served you well in the past - do you still need it or is it time to upgrade? Do you really need to keep going? 01.01.2022 This is what happens when we don’t process and feel our emotion fully at the time of the event. We freeze emotionally, we stay stuck and our pain keeps repeating, often resulting in addiction to help manage the pain. For those of you who have seen Yellowstone, Beth Dutton is a classic example of this. I specialise in un-freezing people’s emotions from past events so they can be free from addiction and feel at peace again. ... The trauma they are referring to here happened on their family ranch when Beth was 14 when her mother died falling off her horse. A simple accident. (Sorry spoiler alert, don’t worry it was episode 3 of season 1). Having been raised on a farm myself I can relate to a much higher exposure to physical accidents involving machinery, animals and isolation. This builds high resilience and valuable life skills however at times can also be coupled with a heightened sense of alertness and responsibility which can cause stress, anxiety and depression down the track. I’ve helped many clients finally come to peace with tragic accidents involving horses, cattle and car accidents, along with the complexities of working within a family business from a young age. The most common limiting belief I hear from those raised on farms are ‘It’s all my fault, it’s all my responsibility’.
