It is about how much the actual language we choose matters in communication with children, and it has hugely affected the way I talk in the classroom. 16.01.2022 Color mixing works are always a hit for children. This is the 1st lesson for F and E and we did yellow+red=orange. We will progress through all these variations during the year, because while it seems like a simple concept, it is truly something that takes children years to fully internalize color mixing.

Fine motor skills and hand and eye coordination are constantly refined as children scoop and pour water and fill and empty containers in a multitude of different ways. In a montessori classroom, playdough will often provide for social interaction. Recipe1 cup flour,1/2 cup salt, 1 cup water with your choice of food coloring added, 2 tablespoons of oil, 2 teaspoons cream of tartar. Combine in a pan on the stove on medium heat until all ingredients combine.
