24.01.2022 Our Year 11 Physics students have been finishing off their depth study this week, investigating the physics involved in the workings of an electron microscope by exploring some specimens they found in the garden. 20.01.2022 With the arrival of the blockbuster exhibition Van Gogh Alive in Sydney, Year 6 were inspired to create their own version of Starry Night. And so, they played Edith Piaf and each painted a square of their large-scale Starry Night mosaic. 11.01.2022 Ms Quinn's Year 8 Science students really had to channel their scientific thinking to complete a series of ocean-themed challenges and escape The Deep Blue Escape Room. Trapped in an imaginary submarine in the dark, cold waters near Antarctica, the students had 45 minutes to complete 10 challenges and crack the code to replace the submarine's battery and return to the oceans surface. #Wenona #EscapeRoom #Science #Steminists #Sciencegirls

09.01.2022 Our Student/Alumnae face-to-face talks have been an integral part of Wenona's careers education program, but when COVID-19 hit, our Director of Student Opportunity and Careers Education, Ms Samantha McFetridge had to rethink how we delivered them. Shifting them into the virtual space was a necessity, but the ability to connect remotely with alumnae around the world has increased participation from our students, staff and parents and facilitated communication, connection and collaboration across our community. 07.01.2022 We were so lucky to have Associate Professor Jody Webster from University of Sydney on campus today using the SEM microscope that our Science Department is trialling.
