25.01.2022 Getting ready for Year 6 graduation dinner. Thank you Mrs Pant, Mr Sanchez and all the many teachers involved for all your hard work in planning this wonderful night!!

25.01.2022 Another exciting day at WPPS with our second orientation session for 2021 Kindergarten students. The children did many different activities with the teachers and year 5 buddies. We have one more session before the end of the year.

24.01.2022 Monkeys have thoroughly enjoyed studying many different artists and looking at their most famous artworks. Most importantly, we've been learning why and how these works have been created and gained an appreciation for these amazing artists. Some snapshots of our recreation of Paul Klee's Cat artwork. We've definitely got some future artists in Monkeys!

23.01.2022 Check out what’s happening in our school garden! Last week the Ravens fed our worms, checked on the growing sunflowers we planted a few months ago and picked some silverbeet to eat!

22.01.2022 We love being bookworms @ WPPS. Congratulations to our Premier’s Reading Challenge recipients. Thanks to Mrs Silvia too for promoting reading in our Learning Resource Hub. Is there anything better than reading a great book?

21.01.2022 3-6 have been enjoying the Dash and Dot Robotics Program during lunchtime. They have been learning to complete various challenges that require students to think critically, creatively and solve problems.

21.01.2022 Can a principal’s day get better? Thankyou Sailors for sharing your writing with me.

19.01.2022 Year 5 Leadership Speeches for 2021. Well done to all students who were nominated and who delivered speeches today. We have future leaders in the making!

19.01.2022 Please remember to check the lost property table each day. We have lots of lost property with no names that will be cleared on the last Friday of the term at 3:15pm.

18.01.2022 Thanks for a fantastic term 3. We look forward to seeing our children and families on MONDAY 12 October.

18.01.2022 Our phones are currently not working. We are doing everything possible to resolve this ASAP.

17.01.2022 After a big day with external validation yesterday I’m back doing what I love best. Students from the Monkeys shared their amazing writing with me. They are very excited about the school holidays and have written all about their plans. Principal Rose

15.01.2022 Yesterday morning all students attended a short, moving ceremony to commemorate Remembrance Day led by our school leaders. Lest we forget.

15.01.2022 We are being externally validated today. Incredibly proud of what we have achieved as a new and developing school. Great school, great students, great staff, great parents!!

14.01.2022 During Week 10, Stage 1 has begun researching water sustainability in farming and everyday life. It's been a fantastic week of exploration. The Dinosaurs have learnt where their fruit and vegetables come from before they get to the shops. We also learnt the scientific way to tell the difference between fruit and vegetables. Mr Packham gave a very exciting presentation on WPPS water saving systems. Did you know our rain is collected on the roof, goes through pipes underground to our tanks and then used to water the fields and gardens? It's safe to say, Week 10 has been a very exciting week for Stage 1!

14.01.2022 Please be advised that the gate on Burroway Road will not be accessible for afternoon pickup today due to the Healthy Harold van and Sports in School trucks.

10.01.2022 'It hasn’t been easy, but look what we’ve produced!' Thank you to all our students, teachers, school staff and parents and carers who have made this a year to remember. See you next year for #FirstDay2021! #LoveWhereYouLearn *Posted by the NSW Department of Education*

08.01.2022 Dragons have been learning about changes in materials for science this term. We have been experimenting with water, oil, flour, colouring and many others to observe the changes. We now know that some changes are reversible or irreversible. When mixing materials with water, we understand that some become solutions by completely dissolving or suspensions which separates. The dragons are so excited about science and we look forward to new experiments every week!

08.01.2022 Our Stage 3 students participated in the Public Speaking finals. All three finalists delivered an engaging and motivational speech. Congratulations to all three aspiring public speakers!

07.01.2022 This week the Geckos have been learning to recognise that total amounts of money can be made using different denominations. We explored more than 6 ways to make $1 using silver and gold coins as well as learning to draw them. We really enjoyed the shop set up where we had to use coins to pay the shop keeper for an item that we wanted to buy. We understand that learning about money is important because we want to know how to make the correct amounts so we can buy things we need and want. We don't want to lose money because we gave the cashier the wrong amount. We are learning how to be independent consumers!

07.01.2022 Today our female staff played a game of soccer against the girls. Lots of our boys stood on the sidelines and cheered us on. AND Mr Koutsoufis was a great ref. But Miss Azimy....you need to use a bit of a lighter foot when you kick those goals. AND Principal Rose make sure you bring your joggers next time.

04.01.2022 The Sailors have been investigating what Materials are and how we use them in our everyday world. They have been exploring the different types of materials and have become their own scientists through hands on experiments. They have recently used materials to design and create their very own rain coat and parachute. It has been great to see them working together and engaging with one another during science. They have been successful in learning about why we use different materials for different purposes. Great work Sailors, we have some great future scientists at Wentworth Point Public School.

04.01.2022 The Panthers and Thunderstorms have been experimenting with our new Dash Robotic during their maths lesson. Their challenge was to code the robot to move around the maze and calculate the length travelled and boy did they move.

02.01.2022 Congratulations Mr Richardson and Miss Azimy on receiving your proficient accreditation.
