24.01.2022 My Flabber is gasted ! What a day for our Community. A project that our Wentworth & District Community Bank Branch supported with $100,000 pledge of seed funding has just had some great news. It has just been announced that Wentworth Long Day Care project has been approved a grant from Susan Ley's office of $ 279,058 towards the project. So much closer to coming to fruition. Goes to show, if the project is important enough to you, and you are willing to get off your behind and "do, not think....DO! Anything can happen. Congratulations to hardworking fundraising committee.

23.01.2022 Another year of Community Development Grants distributed and $112,817.28 invested back into our Community. You can definitely see the the difference your banking can make. This year many of our normal annual events are not going to take place due to the Covid 19 restrictions. We wish all those groups the best for their events for next year and hope they will all come back bigger and better. Congratulations to all the lucky recipients this year and hope these funds make a big difference to your Community group and planned events. Please let us know how your project or program is getting on along the way. Once again, thank you to all our customers that support us with your business.

14.01.2022 Its that time of the year again, we have put up our wishing tree to support the less fortunate children in our area. If you would like to support this initiative please drop in an unwrapped gift to our branch. Thank you to those that have donated something this week.

12.01.2022 Over the past 21 years our Community Bank Branch business has grown from strength to strength. In this time, we have experienced an increased demand for local Business Banking services. As a result, we are pleased to announce we have now created a new dedicated Small Business Manager position at the Branch. This role has been filled by previous Branch Manager, Daryl Wescombe who will be able to look after all our existing and new Business Banking customers needs. Daryl will o...perate from our Wentworth Branch and is fully mobile to visit existing and new customers. This may be at the Branch, your place of business or our Gol Gol Lending Office. Daryl can be contacted on his mobile mobile 0428 125 113 or call the Branch 03 50273362. If you like to have a chat about your Business Banking needs, give Daryl a call as we are keen to continue to grow our Branch business to support our Community.

12.01.2022 Fantastic milestone and great to be part of.

11.01.2022 After 14 years there has been a changing of the guard. With Daryl moving into the new Small Business Managers role, the Branch Manager role has become vacant. We are pleased to announce that staff member Janine Smith has accepted the position and becomes our 3rd Branch Manager since opening in 1999. Please join with us to welcome Janine to the new position and wish her all the best. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience to ensure our customers continue to receive the best service possible. Congratulations Janine.

11.01.2022 Our Annual Community Development Grants Program recently closed and assessments were completed by Board of Directors last Wednesday night. A bit of an abnormal year this year with many Community Group annual events that we usually sponsor not proceeding due to the Corona Virus. Our assessment meeting was held via online platform, Zoom which was a bit strange but possibly the new norm in the coming months/years. Total grant funding for the year was over $100,000 so still a substantial investment into our Community. We will be advising individual applicants of the fate of their applications over the next week or so. Once they have received advice, we will make public successful recipients. Once again, thanks to all the people who support us with their business to enable this funding to happen.

11.01.2022 Please note our branch will be closed on Thursday 5 November due to a power outage in Wentworth.

10.01.2022 Please note our branch will be closed Monday the 5th October due to NSW public holiday. Will be open from Tuesday 6th of October.

05.01.2022 MEDICAL SERVICES TO RETURN TO WENTWORTH As you may know, earlier in the year, Wentworth was left with no Doctors in town which caused much concern for local residents. Similar to the town losing it's Bank, the Community has rallied together to explore ways of returning Medical services to the town. Last week it was announced that a collaboration between the local Wentworth Shire, Coomealla Aboriginal Health Corp.and our local Wentworth & District Community Bank Branch of Bend...igo Bank has developed a platform and raised sufficient funding to return a Medical Practise in the town. We were proud to assist in providing $50,000 towards helping to bring this initiative into fruition. These funds will cover costs of IT - Hardware & Software, initial Medical Supplies and Signage. Services will start in August initially 2 days a week and it is hoped demand, if sufficient, will see this increase to 5 days a week. Keep your ears open for a start date and we implore locals to utilise the new services to ensure it stays open and retained in the town. Thank you to Shire General Manager, Ken Ross and Mayor Melisa Hederics and Councillors for their dedication to pursuing this issue. Thanks for CHAC for coming onboard to assist with provision of services. Another great partnership project for the betterment of our Community.

04.01.2022 Australian Inland Botanic Gardens received their newly acquired Steam Weeding machine. AIBG were one of our successful Grant recipients this year and we were pleased to be able to provide $5000 towards this $17,000 machine. The Steam Weeding machine will allow volunteers and staff to reduce weed infestation at the gardens and alleviate the use of sometimes harsh chemicals. This new machine will go a long way in creating a much safer environment for volunteers, staff, visitors and pets. Congratulations on your new purchase.

03.01.2022 Look at this weeks entries in the wheelie bin decoration competition. This weeks winner is Henry Snow who completed this al with a cast on!!

03.01.2022 Great to see another fantastic project up and away in our Shire. The Wentworth Showgrounds new Pavilion is really starting to take shape. We were proud to provide funding of $100,000 and partner with so many other financial contributors to make this happen. It was certainly a shame that the Show couldn't go ahead this year but wow, what a year 2021 will be. (Covid-19 permitting). This will be such a great asset for all existing and future Show Ground user groups and future event organizers.

03.01.2022 Following the Reserve Bank of Australia’s official cash rate cut this week, we've reduced our new fixed home loan and business loan interest rates. The interest rate changes will be effective from 13 November 2020. Full info here: https://bit.ly/2GygP4p

01.01.2022 Today brings an end to another valued staff members career with our Community Bank Branch. Today is Breeons last day at the coalface as she is moving on after nearly 15 years. I can remember when Breen first started as a young lass and have seen her become a valued staff member, a wife, a mom of two wonderful kids who now runs her own business. Thanks for your dedication to the job, friendship and laughs along the way Breeon you will be missed. We wish you all the best whatever the future holds. Best wishes to you, Geoff and family. I'm sure we'll keep in contact. Cheers.

01.01.2022 One happy Community Development Grant recipient. Coomealla Wentworth Cricket Club took delivery of their new (to them) ride-on pitch roller and it looks pretty flash. We were happy to partner with the Cricket Club and provide $6,000 towards the roller purchase. Just might have extended the working life of our wonderful curator Ross Robertson for another year or two as well. Don't reckon we will get the smile off his face for a while. Should get the balls zinging around the ears of the opposition batsman now.
