13.01.2022 The next Ordinary Council meeting will be held this Wednesday 16 September 2020 commencing 10am at the Midway Centre Buronga. Councillors will attend either in person or via video conferencing. Members of the public are permitted to attend meetings however, Council must adhere to limitations on attendee numbers as directed by the NSW Government. You can also view the live public sessions of each Council meeting via Facebook livestream. To view meetings after they have aired, head to Council website.

12.01.2022 Outdoor and home gathering numbers are increasing! From 1 December: Up to 50 people can gather outdoors in a public space. 11.01.2022 Great news! A new school crossing will be constructed at the Gol Gol Public School, with a supervisor to be appointed. The Minister for Regional Transport and Roads, Paul Toole made the very welcome announcement today. Recruitment for the new crossing Supervisor will commence soon, with works expected to be completed early in Term 4 of the schooling year.

11.01.2022 Please note that emergency water main repairs are currently underway in Neville Street, Wentworth near the school. As a result the water supply has been shut down along Darling Street through to Burns Street. Our team are working on rectifying the problem and we apologise for any inconvenience.

09.01.2022 Works are currently underway at the Wentworth Showgrounds with the ongoing construction of the newly named Wentworth Showgrounds Community Pavilion. Wentworth Shire Council agreed to endorse the naming of the pavilion at their most recent Council meeting.

09.01.2022 Wentworth Shire Council has partnered with Birdlife Australia to take part in the Aussie Backyard Bird Count. The Aussie Backyard Bird Count is held for one week each October as part of National Bird Week and aims to help researchers track how local birds are faring. This year, the Aussie Backyard Bird Count will be held from... 19-25 October 2020.
