24.01.2022 #photofeedback This beautiful spirit came with all the one length hair with curls on the ends down to her waist and the new hair around her face. Candice has not had a haircut for over 4 years due to moving back to Tasmania and having her babies. We chose to layer her hair to give the new hair a chance to catch up. Hormones definitely changes the curls for a while through pregnancy and breastfeeding. This cut will give Candice’s hair a chance to reboot her curls, they’ll start to remember they can curl. She loves her new look. I look forward to seeing her curls next trim.

20.01.2022 Another 2 hour gap today, very hard with no show clients because I give a little leeway for being held up etc, then I don’t have time to give someone on my list a chance to come in.

19.01.2022 Ashleigh’s boss suggested she come to see me to have her curls trimmed, and after a cancellation that happened this morning due my client having a cold, we got to do her hair today. She’s in a wedding in November and the appointment I originally gave her was early in November which was cutting it fine with her hair relaxing back into its groove after cutting off her damaged ends. Ashleigh chose to have a lesson in hydration and diffusing to enhance what she was already doing. She couldn’t believe how healthy and happy her curls were at the finish. I used Everscents bergamont shampoo then Remedy Treatment followed with @pumphaircare define and repair cream then Soft curl gel. Stunning result.

19.01.2022 What a pleasure to see a young girl, about to head to high school next year, be full of smiles seeing her curls after a cut and hydration treatment lesson. 17.01.2022 Vicki’s hair is getting better and better after growing out all her colour and learning CGM. Before coming to me Vicki was finger curling her whole head to get her curls into form. Now it’s just natural curls cut to add lovely lift and fullness. Today we used all of the Pump products to trial them on her hair. Lovely result

13.01.2022 Bec had a dry cut six weeks ago after hearing about me being a curly stylist. She’d previously had her hair cut from super long to short bob with an undercut to lighten her hair’s thickness before she came here. The before photo was after I’d layered her previous short cut to suit her curls. Today we trimmed it again then hydrated and diffused as a lesson on how to look after her type of hair. Bec is growing out her undercut now, to allow her swavy curls to sit better at the nape. Sometimes an undercut in curly hair makes the remaining hair form a ledge. I used Everscents cleanser and conditioner, wonderfoam and humid gel from Clever Curl. Lovely light healthy curls.

12.01.2022 They say a change is as good as a holiday, heading back to a bob length, ready for the holidays. I’ll be closed from Thursday 24th - January 6th 2021. Thanks so much for your support and business in this tricky year, I’m hugely grateful and ready to have a break and recharge for 2021.

11.01.2022 Christina came six weeks ago for a curly cut and today she came for a hydration treatment lesson because she didn’t like her curls, I wanted her to see how beautiful they could be and she loved them just by tweaking her routine a bit. 10.01.2022 Elizabeth finally chose to risk coming for a curly cut after watching Wenz Hair page for a while and also some of her workmates have already been. Many bad experiences at hairdressers hands made her very sceptical. My work was cut out for me today. She survived and thrived with her experience today and saw her hair and curls differently by the time I took her final photo. Elizabeth looked like a new woman, gorgeous. Everscents @pumphaircare

09.01.2022 Lyn was at a friends birthday in August and saw my hair and commented on how lovely it looked. I told her then that her hair would curl, so she booked in and today we finally got to see her natural curls from doing the hydration treatment lesson. She has straightened, curled and done it all with her hair not knowing how amazing her hair looked with it done properly to make the most of what her hair wants to do. 09.01.2022 #toughconversations Some who have been to me for curly cuts have experienced this. I’m not about convincing people to let their curls be healthy bouncy and free, it’s so much of a waste of my time and yours. But if you do choose to follow along with taking good care of of your hair, I’ll still have some tough conversations. Yesterday I had two examples of people not necessarily committed and booked because of liking another’s hair etc. one was Nicki, booked by her mum in law ...to be, wanted to have it done to give it a try but also wanted to keep doing things her old way. By talking seriously with her about her why she was having it done, she came around and loved the curls as she left me yesterday. Later I received a message saying she loved her hair. Another client was bought with love and care by her mum, but she didn’t even want to have nice hair. I trimmed and shaped her hair beautifully and she thanked me but pulled it straight back into a tight band. This saddened me, and I’m sure her mum as well. Proves to me it’s so important that the client really wants to commit to having great hair. Nobody can make them want it. See more

09.01.2022 Jo had her first dry curly cut and hydration treatment lesson today, this is her beautiful result. Learning all she needs to help settle the frizz of her newly formed grey curls. When the greys first start growing through they are extra strong and resistant. Today we managed to keep them contained amongst the curls. I used Everscents shampoo in Bergamot to cleanse then used Remedy Treatment for her conditioner. Styling products were Clever Curl Wonderfoam then Humid Gel.

08.01.2022 New to CGM, Neva had a curly cut and hydration treatment lesson to get her started on taking her curls to the next level. I slightly layered her short bob to allow movement in her curls. Stunning result, even looks like we’ve freshened her colour as well. Today I used the Pump Hair Care range and her hair responded really well. I’m looking forward to seeing her hair after a couple of months, and Neva of course!

Kellie has been following the curly girl method for a few years now but still found a few new tweaks to her routine by experiencing what I did with her hair today.
