25.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW....??? Initially jazz was termed 'jasm' and became more common around the 1920s when many artists were favoring its hybrid, improvisational sound - which was back then a combination of marching band music, blues and ragtime music! :D

06.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW...??? The jazz ballad 'Cry Me A River' was originally written for Ella Fitzgerald to sing for a movie but was dropped at the last minute. In 1955, Julie London recorded the song under the guidance of her future husband jazz musician Bobby Troup and it launched her career as a jazz singer. Ella later recorded the song in 1961....
