16.01.2022 This is an example of a client who did NO cardio and reshaped her booty with weights and diet. So many women come to me wanting to lose body fat when it isn't always a body fat issue, it is a lack of muscle issue. Common problems women have are: Bat wings - I've got too much fat at the back of my arm. No you haven't, you have zero muscle there so the skin just wobbles, we need to fill that area out with a tricep muscle. No booty - Less cardio and more squats and deadlifts ...to build out the glutes - which is what this client did. I just want to 'tone up' in general - ok well toning up means building some muscle and then removing any excess body fat covering your muscle so that you can show off your new muscle. In bodybuilding we lift weights to dramatically reshape a body into a feminine hour glass figure. We can build shoulders out, quads out, add some sexy calves, remove exercises that work the obliques and that create unwanted bulk in the side abdominal area and widen the lats to create width in the upper back. Using weight training and diet anything is possible Whatever your current body composition you can dramatically change it with weight lifting and diet. Sure add some cardio but have you seen what marathon runners look like when it comes to muscle mass and they do a heap of cardio! So look at your body, where do you need more muscle, where do you need less body fat, are you eating in a way to support your training (you can't out train a bad diet)! Weights are the key to a body transformation, recomposition or just a more aesthetically attractive you. Get lifting!!!!

11.01.2022 Ladies, the scale is not an accurate representation of your progress. I have clients coming to me who claim the scale has gone up 300 grams. Usually my advice is to go to the bathroom, that is a sure way to drop 300 grams of water very quickly. You get my point? Scales just tell you your total weight. You eat something, the scale goes up, you go to the bathroom, it goes down, you lose body fat it goes down, you gain muscle it goes up. The best way to use scale weight (withou...t it messing with your head) is to weigh yourself every 2 to 4 weeks only. If you are aiming to lose body fat you should see a pattern of your weight coming down over time with some up and down blips here and there. IMPORTANT use other measure of progress in conjunction with the scales. Take your body measurements once a month, are you getting smaller in areas you wanted to lose body fat (perhaps your waist measurement is coming down), are you gaining cm's in area you want to grow muscle (perhaps your arm increased in cm's due to more bicep and triceps muscle). BUT the most powerful to track your progress is visually with progress photos. I ask my clients to take photos every two weeks or so and we line them up to see what changes are occurring visually. We also cross check with weight, body measurements and my clients will also get Dexa scans which show total body fat and muscle growth. Clothes getting lose or tight is also another indication. ONLY THEN can we really know what is happening. We also look at sleep quality, energy levels, skin, hormone balance (cycle regularity), frequency of illnesses, stress levels, all of which impact results or can improve with results. If you are interested in recompositioning your body or competing, I have some new programs coming out shortly. These are not slash and burn 1200 calorie diets with an added shake and 3 hours of cardio are work. Plenty of those around, lets take it to the next level and be methodical and scientific about it so that you finally get results.
09.01.2022 I'm going to tell you 5 reasons why this is the perfect example of a fat loss meal so that you can learn how to make your own meals that rapidly shred body fat. This was my lunch from today and the way I myself eat now and when I was competing in bodybuilding to get lean and ready for stage. Anyone can eat this way here’s why. 1. It is a majority plant-based meal. There is a least 3 cups of vegetables on the plate. Half my plate is always vegetables. Vegetables should form ...the bulk of your main meals, they are full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. 2. I eat rainbows. Whenever I look down at my plate there is always at least 3 or more different colours from plants and at least 3 or 4 different types of vegetables. The more colours the more nutrient dense your meals are. 3. It is a balanced meal. It contains a source of protein - tuna, carbohydrates - my chickpeas and vegetables and a healthy fat source - walnuts. 4. It is low in calories. When I was bodybuilding this was a typical meal I would eat to get lean/low body fat levels for stage. The plant foods are high in water and very low in calories and the fibre fills you up. I rarely get cravings or snack because my main meals are so large and filling (but low in calories). 5. I was full and satisfied after this meal. The bulky vegetables contain fibre and water, the protein and fat slow digestion so I won't get hungry soon after. I always finish my meals full and never feeling guilty or rarely have cravings because my meals are balanced and so big. This is how I ask my fat loss clients to eat. They get lean, their metabolisms fire up and their health and energy levels improve dramatically. A little bit about me.
