23.01.2022 ON TRACK are bringing their school holiday music program online. Across Monday September 21 and Tuesday September 22, ON TRACK will provide exclusive access to specialised video content with some of Australia’s best DJs and Hip Hop artists. In the Hip Hop sessions, students will learn how to turn their own experiences into lyrics and express themselves through song. In DJ sessions students will learn how they can DJ at home, build an artist brand and release music. The theme of the forum is a Brave New World: Changes, challenges and opportunities for families and schools. This year’s conference program includes presentations from expert speakers and groups on mental health support for students and parents, connecting school communities and engaging families. No problem is too small to seek help for, and we encourage you to access to their services whenever you feel the need whilst the College wellbeing team are away over the holidays. The service can offer you the following: - Up to 10 free individual counselling sessions, including for parents/carers... - Up to 10 free family group counselling sessions - Connect you to specialists, including bulk billing (free) psychologists. In addition, Wyndham Youth Check in and Chat is available to students aged 12-25 over the school holidays. Offering valuable leadership skills and personal development highly regarded by employers, involvement in the AAC is also a great advantage for students seeking to join the Australian Defence Force (...ADF) in the future. An unforgettable experience for young people, WSCACU provides students with unique opportunities to get involved in drill and ceremonial parades, supervised use of service firearms, weekend and week-long bush bivouac camps, leadership and management, physical fitness training, navigation, fieldcraft, first aid, survival training, abseiling and more Our Cadets develop confidence, sharpen practical skills and make friends for life with peers not only from our College, but also from across our State and wider Nation. WSCACU was formalised with the AAC in 2010 and inaugurated by the Hon. Julia Gillard in 2012. Our College operates as one of only three Army Cadet Units in government schools in Victoria. 01.01.2022 The second-hand uniform shop will be re-opening for students each Thursday between 3.00pm and 4.00pm, starting tomorrow. Covid safety measures will be in place. With the new year fast approaching, second-hand uniform is currently in high demand. If you have any surplus uniform that you have outgrown or no longer require, (students) please visit the shop to submit them for sale. All items submitted must be freshly laundered and in good to excellent condition. For new year 7 en...rolments for 2021, the second-hand uniform shop has implemented a separate booking system for Monday evening appointments to accommodate these visits.
