24.01.2022 Missed doing this show in 2020..... Let’s do this again one day. The video of crowbar is always killer!
23.01.2022 This is what it looks like, all standing around listening to an almost finished record and hitting up @jimmyrayj for the tiniest tweaks for maximum goodness. Getting it (almost) done.
22.01.2022 We have not played since August 2019 still trying to get album 3 done and shit is sooooo close. We need to one day stop taking DIY so damn serious and maybe see if someone wants to help us, but 12 years of trying to do it all ourselves and we still suck at it. Jimmy’s recording and mixing it all...Ben is doing all the art and photography...Andy is currently growing his hair long...Paul is dying his grey and is so old now he needs glasses and Remy is making his millions running a record label haha. Thanks to everyone for checking in on us to see if we are still alive and well....we are alive...just. Photos by @jasonupthere
20.01.2022 Remember when we were younger and the cool people in your life would burn you a CD of their favourite new album. Or maybe the cool guy at JB Hi-Fi would leave notes on the CD stand with tips on what was good. Well, we all got bored with our limitless music libraries be started sharing a new album each day of those albums which dearest to us or maybe just happened to be on our mind that week. We thought we might as well share it with everyone so each day we’re adding one song from the album we’re listening to a playlist on Spotify. It’s called CD store recommendations by WE SET SAIL. Extra points for whoever can guess which member picked which song.
19.01.2022 So a while ago we asked you what your favorite albums were that took you on a journey. There were so many good picks. Now what we want to know is, when you go to listen to music, are you hoping to find your new favorite album that will take you on a journey, or are you looking for the best playlist, perhaps on a theme or an artist? Which one is more satisfying to you?
17.01.2022 Time flies... Feel Nothing was released four years ago today.
17.01.2022 This Friday, June 19th, the legends at @bandcamp will be donating 100% of their share of sales to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund who enact racial justice. And this is great for our American Pals. So to do our bit at home, we will do the same and donate our share of proceeds for all sales tomorrow to ANTaR who advocate for justice, rights and respect for Australia’s First Peoples. #blacklivesmatter #indigenouslivesmatter @ Meanjin
15.01.2022 We have some good news for @an_dale__ and the other 6 people who used to listen to our super early stuff... It’s now up on all streaming services as a single EP instead of a bunch of scratched up burnt CDs floating around under the seat in your car. We did it mostly just so we can use Spotify to make imaginary set lists of our whole catalogue, but now you can listen to them too! #postrock #emo #2008
14.01.2022 So far our strategy of not playing any shows has really paid off because we haven’t had to cancel anything. BUT we have noticed a bunch of you supporting us by buying stuff on Bandcamp and we just wanted to say thanks, even though there are a thousand bands out there who need it more than us. Buy their stuff! ANYWAY here’s a little snippet from better days - a short dream run of shows with @lucabrasitassie early last year.
13.01.2022 It got cold... and it just so happens that a year ago we anticipated winter 2020 and we had tons of hoodies and long sleeve tees printed with a rad design from @_kensmith_ . We even got sweatshirts made for the little people in your life... got tons of kids sizes in stock still. Just head to our bandcamp page. All our merch is there. @ Winter Wonderland
12.01.2022 True to our word, we’ve been adding tracks to our playlist each and every day. You would think that after 12 years of being in a band together we know what every member is into, but the truth is there are a lot of conversations we’ve never had. We’ve learned a lot about each other from discussing these tracks and the records they represent. You can find this playlist by searching CD store recommendations by WE SET SAIL on Spotify.
08.01.2022 This will keep us all sane for a little while <3
07.01.2022 Top: 2016 by @jameslatterfilms . Bottom: 2020 by @luke_henery . A little older, a little wiser, and way more bloated.
04.01.2022 The funnest part of having @luke_henery take a bunch of really nice photos for our new album artwork is having @paulvoge_marriage_celebrant create a blooper reel of our dumb faces.
