25.01.2022 Felt cute, might delete later. IDK. . The bass guitar has a HUGE range when combined with natural harmonics. Personally I dislike seeing it get pigeonholed as a rhythmic support instrument. Although it’s main role in modern music is to ground chords with the drums- as a solo instrument, it has such a beautiful voice. I encourage all my students to experiment with these concepts in their practice routine. Of course, never make it your only focus, after all: Fills bring the thrills, but only groove pays the bills.
