24.01.2022 The funeral for much loved and respected club life member Bruce McMillan will be tomorrow at 2pm at Guyetts. As a mark of respect the club will be forming a guard of honour for Bruce and this is open to players, members of the club both past and present. Those in particular who played along side Bruce are encouraged to be part of the guard of honour. It’s open to anyone who’s had an association with the club. If you still have your baggy blue cap you are encouraged to bring that along too as they will be worn during the guard of honour.

21.01.2022 Some exciting news Beavers with Wilbur Pomorin back in town and will be playing for the beavers this season ! Wilbur is a past player of the club who played all his juniors with us plus a number of years in the seniors before he moved away . Wilbur is a high quality cricketer and an even better bloke so we are stoked to have him for both on and off the field . We extend our welcome to Wilbur’s partner Renee and daughter Ellerslie. Make them all feel welcome guys. We are also... hoping that Wil’s older brother Gus, who is also a past player of the club will be back playing for us again this year too. Great to see past players returning to the club. Stay well , when information about this cricket season is available I’m sure you’ll all be informed straight away. 18.01.2022 This weeks milestone man is Liam Couch who is playing his 50th division 1 game for Wesley CBC today. Great effort for a young fella who has really found his feet now as a division 1 cricketer and still has big things ahead. Liams interests include getting tatts, hitting 6s and getting sharp haircuts that make him look fast. It’s a special milestone for him to play 50 div 1 games for the club that his Dad Wayne played a division 1 premiership in. Fair to say the mannerisms &... approach to cricket is getting more & more like Wayne by the day. Some ideas to celebrate Liams milestone was to replace witches hats with couches to surround the boundary. Or carrying him off the ground on a couch after the game. Neither of which will be followed through but it’s the thought that counts. We wish Liam all the best today and hope the boys can get up for him in what is a very important game. 13.01.2022 Hope everyone is keeping well during these COIVD times. Unfortunately the dennington recreation reserve isn’t keeping well. There had been several incidents of... vandalism, including smashed glass on netball courts, and smashed glass in small oval shed. This photo was taken today down at the little oval. Keep an eye out for suspicious activities if you’re near the oval, and give the police a call if you see something Suss.

10.01.2022 Bit of a milestone for one of our own today . Our leader Ben Dobson plays his 50th division 1 game for Wesley CBC today . Having played all of his juniors at the beavers we are absolutely wrapped that over the last 2-3 years dobbo has come back to the club where it all started for him. Not only are we wrapped that we have him as a player but we’re stoked that we have him as our captain coach. Well done Dobbo , 50 down , 250 to go. Let’s get a win for the great man today

09.01.2022 Yesterday we lost a great stalwart of the club- Bruce McMillan. Bruce was a life member, premiership player and highly thought of by members of the club and opposition teams. Our thoughts go out to Trish , Simon, Richie and Emily, Matt and Jess. You've left us with many great memories Bruce- Rest in peace ol mate!
