24.01.2022 We did something very special today, we launched our Reconciliation Action Plan. The RAP, as its known, is all about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider Australian community. We hope it plays a significant part in the healing process, promoting truth-telling and optimism of a time when reconciliation is a lived reality and not simply an idea.... To learn more about the RAP, and read it in full, visit the reconciliation page on our website. www.wesley.wa.edu.au/our-communi/reconciliation-action-plan #NAIDOC2020 #NAIDOCWeek #NAIDOC

24.01.2022 We were proud to have the Moorditj Mob dance at the opening of the Carrolup Centre for Truth-Telling at Curtin University. The aim of the Truth-telling project has been to create a permanent home for a collection of rare artworks created by Aboriginal children of Australia’s Stolen Generations at the Carrolup Native Settlement, and a place to engage the wider community in truth-telling, healing and reconciliation.

03.01.2022 Wesleys NAIDOC Week sand mural is something special. It tells the story of community. The inner circle is Wesley and the lines into the centre represent the journeys we take to get here. The smaller groups of people meeting represent the wider community and the emu/kangaroo tracks show us as a people: always moving forwards.... #NAIDOC2020 #NAIDOCWeek #NAIDOC
