Open Control Panel > Programs and Features > View Installed Updates - Enter KB2918614 in the search field Select the result and click the Uninstall. Restart the machine Once your machine has restarted you need to make sure the update does not install itself again. Select Control Panel > Windows Update> Check for updates.- Right click on the update KB 2918614 and choose Hide Update The update will no longer auto install and you will be able to install programs again.
