20.01.2022 Due to the latest information from the Government and health department, No further group walks or events will take place until further notice. We have all been advised to remain at home, as much as possible, unless required by work commitments to do otherwise, in order to limit the spread of the corona virus. Stay safe and well. Peta Wells

11.01.2022 Hi everyone, Our annual Torbay holiday is coming up in January. I need to confirm numbers now as the campsite requires this 3 months prior to stay or we will loose our $500 deposit if we don’t meet minimum numbers. I currently have the campsite booked 14-21 January but I am thinking of changing it from 7 nights to 5 nights 14-19th January. Can you please register for the camp on the website or Wild apricot app ASAP if you plan on attending. Can you also email me or message on... 0414333795 to let me know how many nights you want to stay. If we have enough wanting 7 nights I will keep it as that, if most people prefer 5 nights I will change. Also feel free to ask any questions. Please note, you must be a paid member to attend camps. You are able to join now as a member if not already, there is no requirement for you to have attended any events prior to joining. https://baptistcampingcentres.org/kennedy/ Camp details- Families stay in separate huts and share a large hall, outdoor kitchen, bathroom and dining facilities. If there is enough of us, and there usually is, the Family Bushwalkers take over the camp to exclusion of others. It is a special absolute beachfront holiday . Past activities at the camp have included Talent show Evening, walks, swimming, canoeing, boogie boarding, fishing, games night, coffee drinking at local cafe, etc. As in previous years, the site is deemed alcohol and smoking free. Costs- $20 per person per night for everyone 12yrs and up. 5-11 yr olds are $16 per night. 4 yrs and under are free. Payment will need to be made to club account- details will be sent soon to those who have registered. Check-in time is 3.00pm and check-out time is 11.00am. There are between 2 and 11 beds in each hut and we allocate one family per hut. The huts have a bed base and mattress but little else they are basic. Outdoor kitchen / BBQ area has some supplies. Dining hall has tables and benches. There is a large undercover BBQ. ALL families are expected to help with clean-up during our stay of the communal Dining Hall, Kitchen, Showers and Toilets - a roster will be made for during the stay AND everyone needs to help on the final day. 04.01.2022 We had a great afternoon, 7 families walking the Portagabra track at Fred Jacoby. Much of the area was pretty black due to bushfire but was interesting to see the affect of fire and the new growth. We finished with a much anticipated campfire with marshmallow toasting.

03.01.2022 Lovely walk, great turnout. Come along and join us next time.
