21.01.2022 THANK YOU The West Gippsland Music & Drama Eisteddfod wish to thank all our sponsors and volunteers for their support of the 2019 West Gippsland Performing Arts Competition. After months of planning we ran ten different disciplines across 17 days in July and August, with over 1,000 participants and an estimated audience of over 1,800 people. 40 wonderful volunteers contributed over 920 hours of service. ... We could not do it without you all. Thank you! 09.01.2022 Some of you have noticed that Rock Bands are not included in our 2020 season dates. Making this decision was not easy and we are very disappointed by the gap it... has left in our program of events. As we are a small group of volunteers, the new legal/child safe regulations required for this type of large scale event are now beyond our capacity. Running the event requires at least an additional 10-12 trained and committed volunteers who are prepared to work with us throughout the year in the lead up to the event. If you would like to see the Rock Bands run again, we need your help. However, you will need to have a current WWC or VIT registration, be prepared to undergo child safe compliance and venue evacuation training and become a member of our incorporated association. If you think you could help we would love to welcome your nomination onto our committee at our next AGM on Wednesday, 18th March at 7.00pm at Warragul Uniting Church. And if Rock Bands are not your scene, we are also seeking an assistant secretary and assistant treasurer for training in 2020.
