21.01.2022 A video to go with my last post.

21.01.2022 As you all saw last week, Cindy posted that West Kunderang Recreational Retreat is at present closed due to drought and fires! As we all have spent time at the lovely place I thought I would share a few photos from today that myself, my wife and mate took. We lent a helping hand today to take food down to the cattle on the property as we had a window of opportunity with relief from the winds to get in there. I am still speechless to be honest at what I saw! Heart breaking to ...say the least! As we all know, Cindy will never give up and with some rain and kinder conditions the retreat will again return to its former glory that we all know it for!! My heart goes out to Cindy as it does to all the farmers and people in the country that are/have been affected by the terrible conditions!! Stay tuned and be patient and we will all get to see this great place again and enjoy more happy memories there with Cindy and our family and friends! See more

15.01.2022 I wish to advise the West Kunderang Recreational Retreat will be closed until further notice. This decision has been made for the safety of all in these times of extremely dry weather & the threat of bushfires. I thank you for your understanding under the circumstances & look forward to catching up with everyone again after it has rained significantly!!! Stay safe. Cheers Cindy McRae

15.01.2022 NPWS field staff & helicopter putting out fires at west kunderang today - 19 years to the day when the 2000 fire burnt all of west kunderang & beyond on Monday of the October long weekend. We are very appreciative of all their efforts on our behalf.

13.01.2022 Good morning Everyone! We would like to advise that the West Kunderang Recreational Retreat will be officially open from Monday 14th September, as long as NSW Covid-19 restrictions allow. There will be some changes to activities in line with social distancing rules - to be advised. Looking forward to catching up with everyone again. Cheers Cindy

12.01.2022 A big THANK YOU to Mick & Sam from Talk m landscapes, Roger & Dave from NSW Fisheries, Rob, Daniel, Ryan, Col & Lorelle for all your efforts last weekend bringing the West Kunderang Recreational Retreat back to life - slashing, mowing, whippersnipping, firewood cutting, hosing out toilets & filling tanks!!! I am so very appreciative of your time & generosity!! The campsites look amazing, with Jim & Sue already enjoying their stay at Riverview campsite!!

08.01.2022 To keep everyone safe & healthy we are closing the West Kunderang Recreational Retreat in line with the Governments’ advice to try & combat the current virus pandemic. We are disappointed not to meet with our guests who have been visiting at Easter for many years & to meet with new visitors. We thank you for your understanding at this time & look forward to catching up with everyone in the future. After drought, bushfires, flooding & now virus pandemic we are saying goodby...e to the 2019/2020 season & trust better times are ahead in the 2020/2021 camping season. Please take care & be safe! 02.01.2022 What a difference rain makes!! The recovery process is well on its way!! Check out the change in 3 months. Thank you everyone for your understanding of our closure through the drought & bushfire devastation. While there is a lot of work to be completed in our cleanup & not all campsites may be available, we aim to open the West Kunderang Recreational Retreat on Friday March 6th - with all campsites fully operational by Easter time. Whilst the mighty Macleay river is now in flood - yesterday was a test day with friends visiting West Kunderang to plan our recovery - a great fun day was had by all, especially swimming in Station Creek ( a rare occurrence )!!!! Looking forward to catching up with everyone in the coming months!! Cheers Cindy Mc

02.01.2022 West Kunderang Recreational Retreat will be on display again at the Mid North Coast Caravan, Camping, 4WD, Fish & Boat Show at Wauchope Showground on 9, 10 & 11 August 2019!! Come along to the Pavilion & say Hi - we would love to see you there!!!
