20.01.2022 PAAC Annual General Meeting is on next Tuesday August 25th. We are yet to receive nominations for the following key positions: Secretary- Kathy Nelson is stepping down and we need a replacement (matching Kathys volunteer hours is not a requirement) Treasurer - ideally somebody with accounting skills. We have a volunteer book keeper who takes care of the daily stuff.... Sponsorship Coordinator- this would suit someone with sales experience or with a corporate background The club can not function without these roles being filled.The time commitment is not onerous and the other committee members will be supportive of any new volunteers. 20.01.2022 Registration for Little Athletics has opened. The easiest way is to go to our website, then Membership - then Little Athletics at the bottom is Click Here. Your details from last year are saved and so you then go to renewal. If your child is going to compete in the ASA competition (Seniors) you will have that option in the Little Athletics site. 17.01.2022 Day 1 of the SAAL Bay Sheffield carnival saw a large number of PAAC athletes competing. Little Athletics athletes featured early in the day and it’s a huge cong...ratulations to Archie Charles who won the 800m. The ‘pro’ running followed and PAAC had a win in the 120m restricted. 17.01.2022 The Annual Gneral Meeting will be held at our clubrooms on Tuesday 25th August at 6.30pm. We will test out the new canteen with a sausage sizzle - so come along and see the new renovations and have input into how your Club works. Nomination forms have been sent out previously but please conatct me if you need another.... We are seeking a Secretary and Treasurer as well as other committee postions. Be assured that if you apply for any position, you will receive lots of help. The Club cannot function without a fully filled committee, so please consider putting your hand up. 16.01.2022 PAAC are having our annual Working Bee on Sunday July 26 at 10:30am. The committee of volunteers would really appreciate some parent and athlete help for an hour or two. Sheds need cleaning out and the place needs a general tidy up. There is also an equipment audit that needs doing.

SALAA subcommittee Chairperson - Adam Ozols (Continuing) General Members: 7. Nerissa Sands - Media and communications (Continuing) 8. Allan Sanderson - Fundraising and Active for Life (Continuing) 9. Justin Arbon - Equipment (Continuing) 10. Kris Meakin - Merchandise (Continuing) 11. Julia Woolley - development Manager (Newly appointed) 12. Vacant General Member portfolio is Sponsorship. As you can see, we are still in need of a Treasurer, a Secretary and there is also one vacancy as a general member. It is important for the future of the club that all roles are filled as soon as possible. I also want to congratulate everyone on their appointments last night and I look forward to working with them all in steering the direction of the club for the next 12 months. Finally, congratulations to Kathy Nelson who was also awarded with Life Membership. Kathy's contribution is immense and she forms a part of the fabric of PAAC so it is well deserved. 12.01.2022 We are pleased to advise that the following club coaches can now offer open training sessions for PAAC club members. With some limitations on group sizes still in place these sessions will initially be open to athletes born 2008 or older. We will invite younger athletes to training and even schedule dedicated Little Athletics sessions later in the year. In season 2020/21 we are encouraging all Little Athletics athletes aged 12 and older to try Interclub athletics and help PAAC win premierships in our 150th year. Training with these coaches is a great way to get ready.

10.01.2022 Thanks to the small but hard working group of volunteers that gave up their time to help your club out at the working bee today . Marcos spent a lot of time blowing granules off the track.

10.01.2022 First cross country event of the year for Little Athletics. Great to see some Port Adelaide athletes having a run. All club members are able to run in the cross country events. If athletes want help preparing then they could attend middle distance training with club coach Ian Burge on Mondays at 5:30pm.

09.01.2022 The Annual General Meeting of our Club will be held on Tuesday 25th August at 7pm at our Club rooms. Please save the date and come along and have input into the... future of the Club. All Committee positions will be vacated and elections will be held at the AGM We are calling for nominations for the following positions: President Secretary Finance Manager Facilities Manager Chairperson of SALAA subcommittee Chairperson of ASA subcommittee 6 General Members. Their portfolios will be: Fundraising/Community Groups Manager; Merchandise Manager; Gym/Equipment Manager; Sponsorship Manager; Media/Communications Manager and Development Manager. We are also looking for an athlete representative on the committee. Some of the current committee will nominate but not all of them are going to. Nomination forms have been emailed to members. 01.01.2022 Due to COVID-19 the PAAC 150th celebrations and presentation day were postponed....we will now be holding this event on Saturday 19th September, 2020. We will post the time slots for the presentation of trophies to the children that who originally advised they were attending the presentation day.
