17.01.2022 VALE Mark Shoey Fitzgerald UPDATE - A memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Shoey on Friday, 14 December, at SMOSH West Lakes Football Club, starting at 3pm. After the service, people are encouraged to stay at the football club for a drink, some nibbles and to share stories about the great man. ... Attendees are asked to wear their club colours. R.I.P. Shoey.

16.01.2022 the late 80's and early 90s was a successful period for the junior football club. Some of these young boys went onto to play SANFL and AFL. 12.01.2022 Hi all sorry been very slack on posts The SMOSH West Lakes football club is celebrating the 20 years of the merger on 30th of July in a agme against Portland. Aswell as celebrating the last 20 years we are looking back at the clubs that help formed what we have today, for this the A grade will be wearing a special heritage guernsey design on the day featuring all the previous guernsey including the WL and the beautiful green, blue and white right back to the old semaphore par...k days. For this i need some help am looking to get an old West Lakes football club crest or logo to also put on the guernsey. If anyone has one on an old letter head for example or knows where i can get one could you please contact me asap I'll have more info on the day towards the end of the month so i'll keep you all posted. 11.01.2022 Lock June 16th in your diary for a Lakers Reunion SMOSH West Lakes will be running there heritage day with enthusiast on the West Lakes era and our 1988 A and B grade flags The current A grade will be running around in the famous navy blue WL Guernsey for the day More details to be posted in near future

10.01.2022 For all those who knew JohnBoy you would know what he did for the club in his many years of service over the last 2 years the club has been working towards getting an upgraded LED Scoreboard is his honour We are pleased to announce the board is up and running and on Thursday night the club is having an offical launch be great to see a few old faces there... The club also lost long time member Shoey Fitzgerald and the end of last year. The club is honouring Shoe with a memorial match this Saturday the 6th of July.
