25.01.2022 The June Social is on the 16th of June at 7pm in the Greyhound Centre at the Ipswich Showgrounds. Guest artists are Ged & Trudy. This couple have been travelling around the country extensively and performing. We look forward to having them at our Social again after a long break. Meals and refreshments are available. Raffles and Lucky Door as well as a members draw. I've included a very old photo from circa 1970.
24.01.2022 The next Social at 1a Samford Rd Leichardt will be on the 16th of December. Guest artist will be Pete Smith. Xmas dress will be welcomed. Meals are available from 11.30am. Entry is $6 and $5 for members. Come along and enjoy the fun. Everyone get a small gift. Last months guest artist was Terry Gordan who entertained with a great selection of songs and comedy.
24.01.2022 At the April Social Lindsay Waddington lived up to his reputation and throughly entertained the audience. From a Band point of view he was sometimes challenging but always a pleasure to play with. A really enjoyable night and I'm sure we will see him at our Social again sometime. Our May Social is on the 26th of May. A week later than normal due to the Ipswich Show. The guest artist on the night will be the music of John Denver performed by the members of West Moreton CMC. Come along and bring a friend. Drinks and meals available. Starts at 7pm and goes 'til 11pm. Venue is the Greyhound Pavillion at the Ipswich Showgrounds. Can you recognise these people.
24.01.2022 September Social is on this Sunday the 16th at the Ipswich Sports Club (Golf) Club 1a Samford Rd Leichardt. Music starts at 1pm. This month we are delighted to have Justin Standley as our guest artist. This is a great opportunity to see this artist with the incredible voice. Entry to the room is $6 or $5 for WMCMA members. Lunch and Dinner are available at reasonable prices. Become a Sports Club member for $2 and recieve quick entry and other benefits.

22.01.2022 Friday the 18th of August is the next Social at the Greyhound Centre in the Ipswich Showgrounds. We are delighted to have Kylie Castle back again with a new album to her name. I don't have a copy yet but will fix that on Friday night. Music starts around 7pm and finishes at 11pm. Meals and refreshments are available. Entry is open to everyone at $6 and $5 for members. We had Pete Smith at the last Social and he put on a great show that included the best bird calls you ever heard. Who is that young lady on guitar?
21.01.2022 The future is looking brighter than it has and looking forward to getting back to performing and having Social afternoons on the third Friday of the month at the Ipswich Sports Club. Our last guest artist in March was a 'Star of the Future' in Kim Wright. Thanks to Donny Pride for helping out during Joe Stinchcombe's performance. Wright. 17.01.2022 Happy New Year to one and all!!!!! The first Social for 2019 is on Sunday the 17th of February at the Ipswich Sports Club 1a Samford Rd Leichardt. Our guest artist is a young lady who has just returned from performing in Tanworth at the Festival. Alice is a rising star in Country Music with a preference for Bush Ballads. The show starts at 1pm and finishes at 5pm. Meals and drinks are available from the Sports Club. Entry to the Music Venue is $6 or $5 for WMCMA Members. Come along for a great afternoon of great country Music.

This month we have professional guest artist Ian B MacLeod, a Rock & Roller who has branched into Country. 17.01.2022 The September Social is on Friday the 15th. Guest artist is the Country Round-Up Country Music Club all the way from Narangba. We visited them some months ago and were impressed with their Show. Last months guest artist was Kylie Castle who sang a collection of songs from both of her CDs. Kylie put on a great show that highlights her singing as well as her song writing. Show starts at 7pm for four hours. Entry is $6 and $5 for members. Meals and refreshments are available. All welcome, bring a friend.
17.01.2022 The New Year of music got off to a great start at the Ipswich Sports Club on Sunday the 14th. Our guest artist travelled all the way from Gympie and for us the trip was well worth the effort. Alice Benfor performed an acoustic set of well chosen numbers that highlighted her beautiful vocals. We hope to see her again sometime. Next months Social on the 14th of March featuring Chad Morgan is booked out so the only seats that will be available are cancellations. 13.01.2022 A great afternoon of music and fun at the last Social for 2019. Many of the audience and performers got into the spirit and dressed in their Christmas garb. The award for the best dressed went to Wayne and Moreen Noble so they shared the prize. Everyone went home with a door prize John Hancock went home with the Leg Ham, Coral Anderson won the Fruit Tray and Val Ashton won the membership draw. Next year the Socials start on the 16th of February with Maurice Hardy being the guest artist. Have a great festive season and we will see you in 2020
11.01.2022 It was a full house at the March Social to see Chad Morgan perform a bracket of his greatest hits. The audience loved it. Next Month Social is on the 14th of April because of Easter. Guest artist is the Logan/ Beaudesert CMC.

10.01.2022 The December Social has come and gone. What a great night, the band and Club performers were on fire with many traditional and country style christmas songs. The audience got into the xmas spirit with many wearing outfits with a Xmas theme. Our guest artist was Tony Wagner and he really gave the audience their money's worth. From the Band's point of view it was a lot of fun to play along with Tony and his keyboard. It has been a good year for the Club and we look forward to another next year. The Club would like to wish everyone a Merry Xmas and a healthy and happy 2018. We will be starting off the year with our first Social on the 16th of February. The guest artist will be the artist with the velvet voice, Dennis Morgan.
09.01.2022 The March Social went well with Darrell Craft presenting a bracket filled with songs that could have been written with his voice in mind. A great performance. Winners on the night were JudyTownsley, B Zahow, and Bev Pryde. Our next Social is on the 20th of April and our guest artist will be the legendary Johnny Greenwood. Come along to the Greyhound Pavillion in the Ipswich Showgrounds. Meals and drinks available. Music from 7pm to 11pm.

The next social is on the 21st of July at the Ipswich Greyhound Centre. Show starts at 7pm and goes until 11pm. Meals and refreshments available. Entry is $6 and $5 for members.Children under 15 free. The guest artist for July is the very popular Balladeer, Pete Smith. Lovers of traditional style Australian Country will be very satisfied with his collection of songs and how they are performed. 08.01.2022 The October Social at the Ipswich Sports Club went off without a hitch with John Abbott, our guest artist, putting on a great show of good country music and a few well presented jokes. Thanks to Dennis Morgan for singing two songs. It was good to have Gazza Watson drop bye and do a couple of numbers. The storm that went through with a lot of wind and rain almost went unnoticed. The crown was good again and everyone was happy. Next month our guest artist will be the very entertaining Terry Gordon. Come along and join the fun, walkup artists welcome.

06.01.2022 The next Social is on the 25th of May 2018. It is a week later due to the Ipswich Show. This month the Club artists will be singing a tribute to George Strait, the only artist to draw more than 100,000 people to his concert. Meals and refreshments available. 04.01.2022 The August Social at the Ipswich Sports Club is the 18th at 1pm. Guest artist will be John Abbott who we asked to come again because of audience requests. Last month the guest artist was the Boonah CMC and we all enjoyed the show. A special mention should go to Robyn who's poem really tickled the funny bone. A great show, thank you. 04.01.2022 The July Social at the Ipswich Greyhound Pavillion is on Friday the 20th of July. A four hour show starting at 7pm. Meals and refreshments are available. Guest artist is the very funny and entertaining Errol Gray. This will be our last performance at this venue before we move to the Ipswich Sports Club on the third Sunday of the month, starting in August. Come along and make this night one to be remembered.
04.01.2022 The Social on the 15th of September had the Country Roundup CMC as guest artist. A great, friendly and talented group from north of Brisbane came a long way to entertain our audience and done a great job. Next months guest artist is Steven Sparrow. A talented singer/songwriter who has done very well with his CD that was released last year. Come along and bring a friend on Friday the 20th of October to be entertained for 4 hours from 7pm. Meals and refreshments are available. The venue is the Greyhound Pavillion in the Ipswich Showgrounds on the corner of Salisbury and Warwick Roads in Ipswich.

01.01.2022 A dear friend and member of the West Moreton Country Music Club was put to rest yesterday. Gary Graham will be missed everytime we hear 'Your My Best Friend', 'Wreck of the Old 97', or 'Diggin Up Bones'. Congratulations to the family for organising a wonderful service and a fitting sendoff. Rest in peace old mate

01.01.2022 The Management Committee have made the decision that all Club Meetings, Rehearsals and Socials have been cancelled until further notice. We ask that you assist by passing the word to audience members that are not Club members. When the situation changes and we no longer need to practice Social Distancing we will resume our monthly gatherings. That will be communicated via email, phone, Facebook and a Newsletter via mail.. In the meantime, stay well and we look forward to seeing you all again in the not too distant future.
