24.01.2022 Reverend Phil Simmonds will be preaching from the book of Daniel on Sunday. His message is titled No Other God Can Save In this Way Pastors thoughts for this week are: History is full of the Mighty acts of God's providence and salvation - the incident of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego's salvation from the fiery furnace dramatically demonstrates this. But God does not always act so dramatically, but often very quietly, yet just as effectively, through the saving Grace of bel...ieving faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin. Countless numbers have already, and will continue to experience God's Mighty act of saving Grace upon their lives - this should both encourage us and cause us to praise God for His Grace and Mercy. If you would like to come along and hear his message, service starts at 10.00 am, followed by a cuppa for those who would like to stay. You can find us at 50 Auld Kirk Road at Sidmouth.
21.01.2022 Reverend Phil Simmonds will be preaching from the book of Acts on Sunday. His message is titled "The End of the Beginning" The Pastor's Thoughts for this week are: New Year resolutions are still traditionally practised in many Western Nations, Australia being no exception. The general intention being to change 'old' habits for the good, or to start some new endeavour or life style change, again, for the good and/or well being of the person/s concerned - which when tested by r...eality - often don't last the year out!. For the Christian, change for the good/well being of ones relationship with God the Father in Christ Jesus, and others, should be a matter of "business as usual" 24/7 - but for many, reality often proves otherwise! One way for Christians to overcome this is by adopting the Apostle Paul's attitude in Phil.3:12-14, to prayerfully "press on" toward the goal set for me in Christ Jesus, seeking daily His love, strength and power through the Holy Spirit, mindful of pleasing/glorying God the Father in all we do and say! If you would like to come along and hear his message, service starts at 10.00 am, followed by a cuppa for those who would like to stay. You can find us at 50 Auld Kirk Road at Sidmouth.
20.01.2022 We are very pleased to announce that Rev Phil Simmonds will be preaching from the book of Acts on Sunday. His message is titled "Faith in Troubled Times." A few thoughts he had are: As Christians, just like every one else, we never know what's "just around the corner"! And, just like soldiers, our preparation in "times of peace", will often play an important part in how we respond to, cope, with "troubled times" - when our faith is tested and tried, and we should look to ...God in Christ to provide us with all the wisdom, courage, patience, love and forgiveness we may need to 'see us through' our our times of trial/s. 1 Pet.1:6-7 reminds us that such trials have the outcome of proving that out faith is genuine, and ultimately may give praise and glory to God in Christ Jesus. Remember also, God's promise to be "with His people' at all times in and through the presence/power of His Holy Spirit - Hebrews 4:14-16 encourages us to come before Christ for help in our time/s of need - Praise God for His enduring mercies and grace. If you would like to come along and hear his message, service starts at 10.00 am, followed by a cuppa for those who would like to stay. You can find us at 50 Auld Kirk Road at Sidmouth. See more

19.01.2022 Reverend Phil Simmonds will be preaching from the book of Daniel on Sunday. His message is titled "God Will Provide" Pastors thoughts for this week are: God will provide" is part of, or should be part of, who we are as Christians - looking to God our Heavenly Father to provide for all our needs - not just in the "quiet waters" times of our lives - but especially when the "waters of Life" become choppy or stormy! That's when our faith is tried and tested - not always positive...ly, if we're honest, form a human view point! What is required is a conviction of faith and trust in God and His Word, and His courage to persevere - growing closer and more dependent upon God in Christ in the process! In such times, the words of the Psalm 121 can be very encouraging together with sincere prayer". If you would like to come along and hear his message, service starts at 10.00 am, followed by a cuppa for those who would like to stay. You can find us at 50 Auld Kirk Road at Sidmouth.
13.01.2022 Reverend Phil Simmonds will be preaching from the Gospel of John - chapter 11 on Sunday. His message is titled "He Who Believes". Pastors thoughts for this week are: In John’s Gospel Chapter 11, there are two main points of focus - the supernatural power of God to raise the dead (Lazarus) to life, and the purpose of this miracle - to Glorify God the Father through His Son Jesus - that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may hav...e life in his name (John 20:31 and Acts 4:12). The life referred to is the ‘new spiritual life’ received by and through believing faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin - the reason and eternal outcome of Jesus death on the cross and resurrection from the dead - a timely reminder with Easter only a few weeks away. If you would like to come along and hear his message, service starts at 10.00 am, followed by a cuppa for those who would like to stay. You can find us at 50 Auld Kirk Road at Sidmouth
11.01.2022 Reverend Phil Simmonds will be preaching from the Gospel of Luke on Sunday. His message is titled "Nothing is Impossible With God" The Pastor's Thoughts for this week are: "Once again Christians will celebrate the reason for the season, the virgins birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, although more 2000 years later, the reason has not changed, and will continue unchanged, despite the changing World view/attitude re the Word of God - The virgin will be with child ...and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel - which means, God with us; and She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins (Matt.1:21-23) Praise God! If you would like to come along and hear his message, service starts at 10.00 am, followed by a cuppa for those who would like to stay. You can find us at 50 Auld Kirk Road at Sidmouth.
09.01.2022 Reverend Phil Simmonds will be preaching from the book of Daniel on Sunday. His message is titled "Hope in the Final Days" Pastors thoughts for this week are: For Christians past, present and future, their have and will be times of trials and even doubts about ones faith which can arise - and when they do, feel very real! In such times, this is when prayer becomes the Christian's main source of hope, strength and encouragement - ironically, your doubt can also some how make y...ou think your unworthy of God hearing/answering your prayers - nothing could be farther from the truth! Also, try and remember the promise of 1 Peter 1:5 - that promises our faith and trust in Jesus Christ is shielded/guarded by God's almighty power in the last times :) If you would like to come along and hear his message, service starts at 10.00 am, followed by a cuppa for those who would like to stay. You can find us at 50 Auld Kirk Road at Sidmouth
08.01.2022 Reverend Phil Simmonds will be preaching from the book of Daniel on Sunday. His message is titled Nebuchadnezzar's God Given Dream Pastors thoughts for this week are: What we can or should learn, as Christians, from the Book of Daniel is that God is in control of the history of mankind - past, present and future! A sobering but encouraging thought, especially when you review World history and to-days hurling burly of National and World wide politics and power struggles for... control and supremacy! Christians should take encouragement from the illustration, in Nebuchadnezzar's dream, of the 'rock' representing Christ and God's everlasting Kingdom, that will long surpass the kingdoms of mankind - Rev -Chapters 21-22. If you would like to come along and hear his message, service starts at 10.00 am, followed by a cuppa for those who would like to stay. You can find us at 50 Auld Kirk Road at Sidmouth.
06.01.2022 Reverend Phil Simmonds will be preaching from the book of Daniel on Sunday. His message is titled "Daniel in the Lion's Den" Pastors thoughts for this week are: The Biblical narrative of Daniel in the Lion's Den has many lessons for Christians past, present and future - one central lesson is the believer's conviction of prayer (especially in times of difficulty), and God's faithfulness to prayer - that will always be in accordance with His will and that glorifies His name! T...his is not an easy concept to master, for it requires the one praying to be completely submission to God's will and purpose (as in the saying of the Lord's Prayer "thy will be done .... !), even if the answer may be NO - persevere - or something entirely unexpected - God has still answered the prayer's prayer! If you would like to come along and hear his message, service starts at 10.00 am, followed by a cuppa for those who would like to stay. You can find us at 50 Auld Kirk Road at Sidmouth
04.01.2022 Reverend Phil Simmonds will be preaching from the book of Daniel on Sunday. His message is titled The Absolute Sovereignty of God Pastors thoughts for this week are: Psalm 117, although short and containing only 2 stanza or verses, is, none the less, worthy of much thoughtful consideration - firstly for its unusual universal call to praise God all you nations extol him, all you peoples - secondly for the reason given to praise God His great love toward us (again univers...al incorporation us being both Hebrews and Gentiles) ultimately expressed in and through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ - thirdly for God’s enduring forever eternal love, again expressed through His gracious gift of eternal life! How many reasons could you also give to praise the Lord! If you would like to come along and hear his message, service starts at 10.00 am, followed by a cuppa for those who would like to stay. You can find us at 50 Auld Kirk Road at Sidmouth.
