21.01.2022 Oh deary me!Bad news for those, who like me, need their coffee hit in this freezing weather. Unfortunately our coffee machine has broken down! However the good news is that we can still boil the kettle and offer you tea, hot chocolate or coffee [the ordinary kind ].These warming drinks,with raisin toast, will cost you $2.50[with as many top ups as you wish] until our machine is back operating.

16.01.2022 Been busy as bees lately but ,at last, an update of news from your local store. Firstly the coffee machine is still causing us problems.We put in a new pump and thought that would fix the trouble......but NO......there are bigger concerns......we need a new mother board! Investigating, at present ,if that is both possible and economical [our machine has done a lot of work and is fairly old ] We will keep you posted. In the meantime if any one knows of a pre-loved coffee mach...ine out there that is no longer being used please let us know. On a more positive note........Smile,the wind has gone[at least for now] the sun is shining and we keep spirits up praying and hoping for rain. We are just about into the last week of winter so here are some SOUP SPECIALS for this week! ALL VARIETIES @ 50c $1 &1.5 or $2 depending on size. Quick Cheap Recipes 1 Using Tomato Soup 1 Cook small pasta [Shells,spirals macaroni ] 2 Cook chopped bacon and chopped zucchini [ or vegetables of your choice ]in pan.Mix then with pasta. 3 Empty can[ or 2] of tomato soup into saucepan,and heat.When almost hot stir in some grated cheese and then pour the soup mixture into the pasta mixture and combine. Top with whatever you fancy. Tastier even the following day when all flavours more combined. 2. Using Cream of Chicken;Cream of Asparagus;Cream of celery;Cream of Mushroom Soups, in place of white sauce. Salmon Casserole 1large or small can of salmon or tuna. 1 can of creamed soup. 2 or 3 hard boiled eggs. 1 chopped onion &/or leek and any other vegies if you wish. Put all ingriedents in oven proof dish.Top with breadcrumbs or cheese or whatever. Can just cook in pot on stove and do topping as you serve. Garnish with parsley. Serve with rice,mashed spuds ,quinoa or??? TIP... add curry if a winter warmer needed
