14.01.2022 Another wonderful visit to the West Wyalong Waratah Village, with our preschoolers spreading their Christmas cheer. We sang, danced and interacted with the residents and made Christmas craft for them to decorate their room with. Our preschoolers always look forward to their trip to see their friends and its a beautiful, heart warming time for all. WHAT A MERRRY CHRISTMAS

13.01.2022 Waratah Village Visit - today was our monthly visit to the village. It is clear that our Preschoolers have started building strong connections with the residents at the village. Parker said today I cant wait to see my mates. We performed songs and dances for the residents, giving them shakers so they could join in on the fun. We then engaged in craft, this special time allows the children to engage in conversations with the residents and form those magical friendships. ... We cant wait for next month.

12.01.2022 Reconciliation Week- As an Early Childhood service it is very important that we create spaces in our classroom that sends the message that we value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Reconciliation was the underpinning purpose of embedding Aboriginal perspectives into our program so by sprinkling an Aboriginal provocation in this case a painting environment we are creating a belonging and genuine inclusion of diverse Aboriginal culture.

04.01.2022 Big changes happening at Little Wattle We have now completed stage 1 of our renovations, making it a 3 room centre. Moving onto stage 2 is car parking and a new outdoor play space Over the coming weeks this will all start to take shape and be one step closer to allowing us to increase our capacity. ... This will enable us to provide quality care and education to more children from our community. Offering three trained teachers and qualified educators. 02.01.2022 Sneak peak at our renovations as they are near completion. A huge shout out to all the amazing local tradesman for making our space the best it can be. Outside&in , Stokes Building, Camouflage Painting and Decorating, Jimmy Davis carpentry, Dodds plumbing, Glasgow Electrics, G&M Connellan Electrical, Soudens flooring. With these changes, it enables us to expand our services and cater to the ever growing West Wyalong community. ... We at Little Wattle strive to provide the best quality education and care for our families.

02.01.2022 A big thank you to Bernardis for our new resources that were purchased through the Bernardis building better communities program. We were able to purchase new resources and create a new garden in our backyard.

02.01.2022 Needing something sweet to brighten the isolation? Want to support our centre to develop our outdoor environment and buy new resources? Our centre has decided to host a Cadbury fundraiser with a twist! Parents and families are able to purchase a box of their choice for $60 or a half box for $30- lots of chocolate options to either keep for yourself OR sell on for RRP. The option is completely up to you. We will also have individual chocolates for sale during the fundraiser.... We understand that this may not be an option for some families during these uncertain times, so please do not feel any obligation to purchase. It is simply a way for us to raise funds to support our children and centre by providing new, exciting resources and environments. All orders need to be made and paid for by Friday 17th April. Orders will be taken below or at the service. Please feel free to share with friends and family, this is open to the community. Please don't hesitate to speak to an educator with any questions.
