22.01.2022 Up to 33 per cent of people over the age of 50 experience nocturnal leg cramps. While it was previously believed to be caused by dehydration, electrolyte imbala...nces and lactic acid, new research suggests the most likely causes are actually prolonged sitting, poor or abnormal posture, poor flexibility, weight and footwear. Research published in the #JournalofPhysiotherapy shows that calf and hamstring stretches before bed each day can reduce the frequency and severity of middle-of-the-night leg cramps. Your physiotherapist can help with the appropriate stretches and exercises to reduce muscle cramps. #choosephysio See more

This is following the recommendations which are being put to us daily from the Australian Physiotherapy Association in regards to COVID-19. These are precautions to keep the public and our staff safe during this time. If you are unsure what to do, please call the front desk 6972 2866 for verification. Many thanks! Lindsay
