06.01.2022 After 27 years of business the time has come for George & Cathy Collins to retire and enjoy the next stage of their lives. George Collins first stepped into West Wyalong Tyre and Exhaust along side his Brother Peter Collins in March of 1993, moving home from Paraburdoo to take over the business from Alan and Julie Dealing. It was then in 2001 that George and his wife Cathy purchased Peter’s share of the business and continued to run a successful tyre dealership with the addi...tion of George’s expertise as a locksmith. Throughout their years of business George and Cathy have had a few employees come and go but there are two who are well known to their customers and currently still with the business. Mark Anthony has been with us for 30+ years having worked here prior to George and Peter taking over. Mark has been a remarkable asset to this business with his knowledge, work ethic and big smile that we will miss seeing every day. Lesa Matthews has been a very valuable employee, working with us for the past 15 years, only taking time off to have her three boys. Her expertise and professionalism has been second to none. Thanks also has to be extended to previous long time employees, Bruce Ferguson was with us for 10 years and Rodney Sams for 5 years. Thanks also goes to Zac McIntyre who was with us full time for 2.5 years but wasn’t able to stay away and has continued to work for us on a casual bases since moving back to West Wyalong in April 2017. Then there's Josh Mant, Josh came on board in April 2018, Josh would win the award of most compliments from customers for his friendly manner and efficiency. West Wyalong Tyre and Exhaust will be closing down with the final day of trading being December 31, 2019. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of our community for their support over the years, It has been a pleasure dealing with you. It would be greatly appreciated if all outstanding debts could please be settled prior to our closing date. Although West Wyalong Tyre and Exhaust will be closing their doors, George will still be continuing on as a locksmith. Keep an eye out on this page or pop into store to grab yourself a bargain in our closing down sale, selling stock on hand at cost price.
