06.01.2022 LADIES DAY AUGUST 2020 It was an early start for a few of Magpie boys at North Haven Football Club. Cooking a fantastic breakfast BBQ for the North Haven Junior...s with plenty of bacon and egg rolls being sold during the morning. Great job from Brizey, Daisy ,Ted and Goodie. As it ticked on to 11.30 the SA Women's Masters started to prepare for their match. This game was played in the spirit that Masters footy is all about , plenty of laughs and some good old fashioned banter Thanks goes to Marty and Daisy for umpiring, I would like to thank Jasmin Hocking for taking some great action shots for these Girls. As it moved closer to 1.00 pm the crowd was building and then "POP" the corks are released from many bottles of Bird in Hand, plenty of Cider passed over the bar to many happy Ladies to kick off the days festivities. We didn't forget about the Kids, entertainment was provided for an Hour and a Half so the Ladies could enjoy a bit of "ME TIME". The Bumble Bee and the Fairy kept the kids entertained with plenty of games and stories. Apparently while all this was going on there was a game of football being played. The original SLOWDOWN Cup was being battled out, MAGPIES Vs BRUMBYS . This was a battle and there was moments of great footy being played and at the end of the game was great to see old foes shake hands and give a bit of a man hug to each other , i could type so much about this game but it was not about the boys,, It was a Big THANK YOU to all the Laddies that let us boys be boys who support us on the sideline and enjoy the social aspect of this Great Club we are building. Would also like to thank the Brumbys for sticking around after the game for many beers and the BBQ. Special mention to Razor, Doogs , Maddog ,Chop, Cappa, HandleBars, Brizey, Ted ,Daisy, Rhys Hocking, Marty and Lecko for helping with the BBQ and Raffles Thanks fellas.
