14.01.2022 Westall Kindergarten has a big focus on cultural inclusion, and a big part of that is learning about Australia. We Acknowledge the Aboriginal people who have lived here for thousands of years, and promise to respect and care for our land for the time we are here. This week we are celebrating NAIDOC week - a time to recognise that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. The theme for this years NAIDOC week celebrations is Always ...Was, Always Will Be. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were Australia’s first explorers, first navigators, first engineers, first farmers, first botanists, first scientists, first diplomats, first astronomers and first artists. Westall Kindergarten has continued to teach the children about these concepts throughout the week, and were so proud to see the children being inspired by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples stories, artists and botanists, scientists and explorers. #NAIDOC2020

10.01.2022 Happy Friday! I wanted to share a quick note to say a big THANK YOU to all of the teachers. Archi, Kate, Susie and Sandra have all been so dedicated and supportive throughout this strange period, and even though things are changing every day, they are managing to keep providing connection and education for the Kinder while managing working from home and supporting their own families.... We all appreciate everything that all the teachers do, so thank you!!! :)
