25.01.2022 The West Beach Lions Club meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month for our Dinner meeting. Our Club had the honour and privilege of hosting Mr Neil Davis at our Dinner meeting held on Wednesday, 16th October 2019, who gave a presentation on the Sammy D Foundation. The Sammy D Foundation was founded by Nat Cook and Neil Davis, the Parents of Sam Davis, who was tragically taken from them too early in his life; on the 4th May 2008 by a "One-Punch" hit.... The Purpose / Mission of the Sammy D Foundation is to educates young people on the impacts of bullying, violence and alcohol fuelled violence, by providing relevant age appropriate information, knowledge and tools. The Foundation empowers young people to make positive life decisions for a better community. Click on the below link for more information. https://www.sammydfoundation.org.au/

23.01.2022 It was with great pleasure the President and Members of the West Beach Lions Club were able to present the Keys of the New Caravan to Camp Quality's CEO on Wednesday, 20th November 2019. This particular project came to fruition after 3 years of continuous fundraising by the Members of the West Beach Lions Club. The new caravan is located at The West Beach Caravan Park, Military Road, West Beach and is able to sleep 6 people, has a larger, purpose built annex, fully air-cond...itioned, stocked with videos and games for everyone to enjoy. Thank you to everyone who attended on Wednesday even though it was a very hot day; the Staff of West Beach Caravan Parks; for all of the Lions Australia Clubs who donated a portion of their fundraising efforts to this project and all of the West Beach Lions Club members.

15.01.2022 The West Beach Lions Club has been maintaining Camp Quality's caravan at the West Beach Parks for approximately 5 years. The caravan is booked out for at least 45 weeks of the year by families who have children with cancer. However, it was decided 3 years ago the caravan needed replacing. So, the Members of the Club, did what they do best!; started a project to raise funds for a new caravan for Camp Quality. I am pleased to say that a little over a month ago, the Club plac...ed an order for a brand new caravan and annex to replace the existing one, which is over 20 years old. Today marks a very special occasion for the Members of the West Beach Lions Club - the arrival of the new caravan. It will be placed on its new site and the annex constructed. Shortly, there will be an announcement of when the Official Handover Ceremony will take place.
